although things get really blurry as josh tries to figure out who HE is. Well, I for one am glad that Josh's "voyage of self discovery" seems to make him all hot and bothered and prone to removing his shirt. Josh to himself, "Who am I? Maybe it's written on the tag of my shirt. Let me just take it off and have a look see."

Tex, can I ask a technical question? Do you record the show directly onto your computers hard drive? yes, it goes directly to my hard drive through a tuner card.

Thanks, Tex, I was just curious. I have no idea how to get my episodes from the DVDs to my hard drive. I guess if I bought a tuner card I wouldn't have to worry about that.

what type of disks do you record the episodes to?

They're DVD-RW discs. After I finalize them in the recorder I have not problem watching them on my laptop. I can even capture still images from the episodes I just can't figure out how to capture clips from the show. The software that came with my laptop is called muvee autoProducer. It doesn't give me the option of capturing video from the dvd--it only has instruction for transferring from a DVD camcorder or from VHS tapes. I just need to spend a little more time trying to figure it out, I guess.

the program that lets me capture still images is called InterVideo WinDVD. It plays the video fine and lets me capture the stills but if it has a "clip" capture function I'm not finding it. The still images it captures have bpm after them. Exampel cap002.bpm. I don't know what the heck that means.

search your programs for WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER. if you find it, pull it up, view your "tasks", towards the bottom, you will see "How to capture video"
you should be able to bring it to your hard drive that way. just read over it and see what applies to you.

Thanks, Tex, I have some time to devote to trying to figure this out this weekend. I'll either walk away with a feeling of accomplishment or I'll pull all my hair out. Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it. And I hope, hope, hope, your hubby gets the problem with your computer fixed. I hope for your sake and for the boards sake 'cause you know how we love your videos. I still play the Jonathan Lavery "Epiphany" one whenever I get frustrated watching the Rainman routine. Oh, and I still love "Fix You." 8-)That one made me start to like Jr.

Thanks again, Tex. Man, I gotta go to bed. I'm going to be hurting tomorrow at work. Cranky library lady. I feel a whole lot of shushing coming on. Night, all.

Poor Tex!
I so understand when one cannot access the show clips. You know I have had a panic attack more than once when some of my beloved clips were lost.
The urge to make a video does get into your head! When it happens to me, I am compelled to work on it until it's finished.
Hope hubby gets you all fixed soon!
