MEK is such a gem to AMC! Not only did he sink his teeth into this storyline, he gave a leading man Emmy performance. I don't know what cheers me most. My returning love for Tad the Cad or the waking of MEK's acting chops. Damn he's good.
Whenever TPTB pay attention to a vet, not only does said vet meet the challenge but the fans cheer them on. Still they keep feeding us no talent newbies.

I am THRILLED that Tad is back! I have been saying for months - almost a year - that I miss the old Tad.

Thinking about it, MEK was my first crush ever. My mom has watched AMC since it began - therefore I had to watch too. I've been crushing since Tad the Cad's first affair ;D ;D ;D

Yes, the fact they made Tad the killer doesn't go down real well. I must say MEK brought out some feelings of sympathy for Tad from me. It's the mark of a damn good actor when he can make you empathize with his character's plight. Especially when the character is a murderer and torturer.

This s/l blows - no doubt about it. But I think I am already starting to forgive Tad. Madden was evil pure and simple. And Tad didn't intend for him to die. His logic might have been screwed up, but I think I can understand that he was a grieving father desparate to find his dtr. And Dixie messed him up royally. How many other characters have killed for even less of a reason? It's JMHO, but I've loved Tad for too long to give up on him now.

See, I never saw Madden as evil. Misguided, sure. Egotistic, definately. He didn't steal Kate. He didn't steal Spike. and we have no proof about the donor #1 stuff. He didn't deserve to be tortured or killed. No one, no matter how evil, deserved that.

I forgive Tad.
Mostly because that story he gave was so stupid. I never heard an admission with more potholes. So we're supposed to believe that he went down there to talk to Madden (no other premeditated plans), instead knocked him out and dragged his body to the cargo area where he put him in a box that COINCIDENTALLY Zack had just touched, then went back and grabbed Ericas body, put both in a car that he got in and hotwired (which he later referred to as a VAN), which just happened to be Dixie's, but was never reported stolen.
Then he drove blindly to the park, which just happened to have holes dug everywhere but the irrigation people didn't notice that one was filled in with bushes on it. He built a coffin out of the cargo box right there in the public park and put Madden in it? And what... left Erica laying on a park bench?
Then he ripped out the stereo and speaker and McGyvered a recording device - and yet Dixie didn't notice this later when she was obviously driving the car around without mentioning to anyone how she got it back and didn't tell the cops hey, someone may have taken this car since the STEREO was ripped out - and then he sat there for days making recordings for a man buried alive and yet was walking around town shooting spears out his ass at Dixie and Zack???
Bite me. I'm moving on. I'm going to forget this asinine story ever happened.

He popped the trunk of Dixies car and put greg in... but then couldn't hotwire it so he dragged Greg (and Erica who was in the front seat) out and picked a different car or van or something
