after he "recovered" from his brain injury from years ago i was disapointed he not only stayed in the business but stole it. jason doesn't show any emotion so a part of me likes him lately. first of all - i am damn sick of sam whinning to him. blech!!!!!! but to see any emotion of him (actual tears) for letting sam go and his obvious love for sonny to help thru his manic episode of bi-polar. it was nice for once to see something from him. other than that - stare ;D

Well here's the thing. I don't care if he's a mobster. I don't care if he has no emotions. What pisses me off is they parade him around like he's the second coming of christ and then treat anyone in law enforcement as EVIL for trying to put him behind bars. IT'S THEIR JOB. HE'S THE HEAD OF A MOB ORGANIZATION.
I mean really, WTF? Liz STEALS FILES FROM HER OWN HUSBAND for him, because he's the great Jason and can't be put behind bars? Sam can't exist without him? Sonny goes mental without him? It's ridiculous. It's like he's the only thing that holds Port Charles together and it's damn annoying. In one episode they had what, Liz, Robin and Carly all coming to him like he's their shrink!
Too much propping for any character turns me right off. I can't stand Jason because of this, I'm starting to hate Carly as well.

;D ;D i've been hating carly for a while now!!!!!!!
it pathetic how everyone goes to him like he is the king of reason. he is worshiped by liz, sam, robin, sis emily, and carly. he is a killer but they really want us to like him - that is a faaaar stretch. i like steve but if, from what i hear, jason gets completely out of the business they will have to recast him. the only thing i can't blame him for is sonny's fall. yes - jason stealing the business tiggered his manic attack but to be honest it was a postive. sonny has always had his episodes and finally it came out that he is bi-polar and is working on treatment. at least sonny got help. it would have happened sooner or later and it could of been waaay worse!!!

why would they need to recast him? I don't see that why that's necessary. I'm assuming Steve is capable of playing something other than a mobster. LOL.

personally i like steve. but i'm not sure many people could accept him being "good", open to his family, just another guy. he would turn into a total opposite. he didn't want this when he first got his memory back but did it out of loyalty to sonny. lol-then he steals the business. i like jason because he has good in him but he is an assign. BUT they only show that part when he is playing hero!! how many years has he been an assign?? i just think the character change could be a looong stretch.
what do you think? i'd love to see steve keep the part but i guess after soo long of him not really "acting" ..........

um, what do you mean by assign? I don't understand your post, sorry.
Steve played the "good" Jason as well many years ago, before Jason lost his memory. So it's not a huge stretch or anything. But honestly, I don't need Jason to be "good," I just don't want him to be exaulted as a "god among men" all the time like he is now. The characters all bow down to him like he's the second coming of christ. It's aggravating.

Oh okay....I thought you might have meant assassin but.....well anyway.
Jason will always be an unemotional borg type character. Being a mobster or not won't change that. LOL. But like I said, I don't care if he leaves the mob or not, I just don't like the overt worshipping of this guy. People can't solve their problems on their own without going to almighty Jason? GMAB!
