SVU was awesome!!!!! Benson won't be on for the rest of the season b/c she's on maternity leave. Stabler is starting to get on my nerves though. I agree with what the medical examiner said about him, "all that brooding intensity can get annoying" Yeah, I'll miss Benson and I agree about Stabler. I do like that we're seeing these emotions between the two of them- it makes things more interesting. Since Benson's gonna' be gone, I hope we see more of Munch-I love that guy!

I love Munch too! I was sad the writers went this direction with Stabler...having his wife leave him. He was always the family man who took it really personally when stuff happened to kids...which he still does...but it doesn't make as much sense now that he is never around his kids and they don't seem to be on the forefront they way they used to be.

Maybe his wife just really doesn't let him see them that much or maybe he kinda' just cut himself off from them. Though, that doesn't seem realistic, but I remember an episode where his daughter was in jail for a DWI and there seemed to be a lot of tension there and the daughter seemed like she wanted nothing to do with him....who knows...

Stabler`s family leaves him? OMG! I have obviously been watching episodes from 5 years ago here in Brisbane . We get all the american reruns here in Brisbane on foxtel in the afternoons . I can watch more in the afternoons but I hate being so far behind . i discovered seinfield finally about 10 seasons too late!
On the Family Feud thing....... I watch the bit on "Touched by an angel" where they reveal themselves . I`m a sucker for that orange glow & i have it timed now to catch it 12 minutes before the end . ( we don`t have to talk about this again flail!)
I only see Julia with Kendall in clips but is it me, or does she pout " provocatively " after each line?

Actually, I don't mind Josh/Julia, because frankly I don't care about either character so them together suits me just fine. Their fighting isnt too bad.

It's the "Nurse Julia" thing that's weird for me.

It's the "Nurse Julia" thing that's weird for me. It's rude, but Julia snarks back so I don't find them that annoying. I mean I don't care about them either way but I don't think I'd hate them together. They are a really pale version of Robin/Patrick on GH, I think. Both in the medical field, start out snarking and hating each other, slowly come to like each other...Patrick is also smug and arrogant (but he's not nearly as bad as Josh) and Robin is self-righteous as well.

The only reason I wouldn't want to see them together is that Josh is about to get an even bigger storyline, and that means more Julia. Otherwise, I don't mind them together at all. I think she interacts better with him than Ryan actually.

I don't mind Josh and Julia together either, i just don't like how he is around her. The "Nurse Julia" drives me nuts too, lol. Eh well...they're interesting!
Btw, i love Touched By An Angel too!

Liz... do you remember a couple of months ago when those two kids went missing in Idaho or Iowa or something? Their family had been murdered (mom, boyfriend and older brother) but the young girl and boy were taken by a child molester? Well, SVU last night was a take off on that crime. Basically this horrilbe pedophile (Lou Diamond Phillips) kills an entire family, but takes the young girl and boy...when Benson and Stabler almost catch him at the train station (subway? i dont remember), Lou Diamond Phillips tries to cut Benson's throat (but it's just a nick, of course). Stabler goes to to help her, she says she's fine... and in the meantime, Lou Diamond Phillips kills the little boy. So Stabler is all mad that he made the wrong decision (i.e. helping Benson when he should have grabbed the little boy when he had the chance)
At the end of the episode it comes to a standoff between LDP and Benson...LDP is holding Stabler hostage and using him as a shield. If Benson tooka shot at LDP, she'd kill Stabler, and he's basically begging her to do it. Luckily a sniper takes out LDP, and the little girl is found in a crate in a warehouse. While they're at the girl's hospital room Stabler tells her that she should have taken the shot, etc, and she says no...b/c of his kids, blah blah blah. And he says that Benson and the job are the only things that matter to him anymore and he doesn't want to lose them. So at the end of the episode Benson asks for a new partner.
