i actually expect Jonathan to still be loyal to Lily after he fully recovers. He genuinely is a caring guy, and he obviousley has a soft spot for Lily, so i don't expect that to go away.

OY VEY...ok..Janet goes gunning after Jon..so to speak. she plays mind games with him to convince him that it was HE who pushed Di into the lake quote] I was wondering if Janet is going to be able to manipulate Jonathan into believing that he pushed Di into the lake when it occured to me, what if the writers are creating the same scenario that they did with Braden?...a series of crimes that appear to be Jonathan's doing, and that Jonathan comes to believe he committed, but that Jonathan actually had nothing to do with. If they had Jonathan start to believe that he pushed Di into the icy lake, then the writers could go back & explore how Jonathan once before confessed to crimes he had nothing to do with, but was manipulated (by Braden) into thinking he committed. The writers aren't that smart, but it could be a way to go back & shift the guilt for the murders where it really belongs - onto Braden - despite Jonathan's delusional confession in the cave.

That's a great idea betty, to have this kick off the police's realization that it IS possible that Jonathan was able to be convinced that he did those crimes!

I hope that's where the writers are going with this. Why else would they have Janet mess with Jon's mind & make him think he pushed Di in the lake? It makes no sense that Janet would do that.

I hope so too, Betty. (BTW, I'm the same AMCfreak from the SOC AMC board) I bet this will eventually lead up to the reveal that it was actually Braden--NOT Jonathan--that killed Edmund, drugged Greenlee, etc. TPTB are trying to redeem Jonathan, and this would CEMENT his redemption, especially in the eyes of PV. I mean, WHY would Jonathan kill Edmund? Exactly. He had no motive whatsoever. Braden hated Edmund, while Jonathan hardly even KNEW him. So yeah, it's pretty obvious that Braden framed Jonathan mentally and physically, and once Jonathan realizes this, I don't think he'll be quite as forgiving towards his big brother this time. In fact, I think Jonathan will totally write him off!!! And I won't blame him one bit.

Since I know that no one on this board will tell Darcy that I'm sharing his spoilers, and since I've shared them in e-mail with a few of you already...
Darcy answered my e-mail and also my question in the VIP section of Eye Spy. I asked if Jonathan would be cleared, and if the guilt would be shifted onto Braden & if Braden was Jonathan's shooter.
Darcy replied that the original plan was for Jonathan to be exonerated, and for Braden to be revealed to be alive and behind the murders. Darcy insisted that Braden is alive and that Jonathan WILL be exonerated, and hinted that Braden may have been Jonathan's shooter. (There was no depiction of Jonathan's shooting in Janet's diorama.)
I hope that Darcy is right, because I have always believed that Jonathan was innocent and that Braden was behind the original crime spree. The tumor could easily explain why Jonathan kidnapped the women and later escaped prosecution for a crime we SAW Jonathan commit. We never saw Jonathan commit any other crimes, and it has been noted that Lily has episodes of blurry vision.
When unravelling in the cave, Jonathan told Ryan:"Braden said that you'd hurt me, and he said that you'd do it even worse than HE did". It was never explained what Braden did to hurt Jonathan, and even as Jonathan delusionally confessed in the cave I was certain that he was innocent and would be cleared one day. Jonathan was the one who told about the bomb - why would Jonathan do that if Jon was the one who planted the bomb? The writers could turn this around and have Jonathan be a hero who told about Braden's bomb and saved countless lives - the lives of the very people who have been tormenting him.
The writers have everything in place to clear Jonathan, and I hope that they do so Jonathan can truly have a chance to start his life over. I love Jonathan, whether he's ever cleared or not, and I think his life in PV will be much easier if he's proven not to have murdered Edmund & Steve.
Welcome to this wonderful board, amcfreak!
