Okay, Charity - I think you've been a great POM. So, since this is a DOUBLE BITCH POST I will post two major bitch topics for you today. 1. People who talk on their cells while walking in office buildings, super markets and parking lots. Most of them never look at you (a real person) and will proceed to mow you down while you, daringly wearing stiletto heels are left to fall on the wayside. Meanwhile, Cellphone Person is saying "Now, I'm a nice person. I gave $15 to the Humane Society. Oh Excuse me, some annoying person is grabbing my leg and groaning. Call me back. Bye!" 2. People who walk their dogs and let them poop in our front yard and then look at me in that "I DARE YOU TO SAY SOMETHING" smug look they get. I always ask if they prefer paper or plastic. Then I thank them for killing our plants. I seldom EVER see the same people back with their dogs. 3. (Okay, I was only going to have two, but this one is a BIG one) Restaurant personnel who treat you like (See complaint #2 - literally) when YOU are going out and spending money and they act like you were just invited to your estranged Aunt Bertha's Big Birthday Bash and yet you are there to SPEND YOUR MONEY. I always want to ask to see the snobby Hostess' tax return to see if in fact, she is making Donald Trump's salary and gives her the right to treat my parents like parasites. I HATE snobby restaurants. And I am assuming that aside from NY that SF has their fair (or unfair) share of them. And I, unfortunately have been to a lot. But I never go back. And I tell them why. I don't think they care, though So, Charity, I bitched. I moaned. I'm hoping you go out with the proverbial "Bang". But then, I'm hoping I will, too I rambled just for you, my dear.

i knew you had something to bitch about. and if i get treated like crud in a restaurant i ask for the manager. you should see the look on the servers face!!!! i only do it if they are rude or their service is bad in general. the managers usually bend over backwards to make me happy (not literally) i don't have a yard so dog pooh isn't an issue. but i was at a coffee shop (i crawl to my regular coffee pot in the am) and wanted a cappiciano (sp). they asked me what kind. ahhhh - the cappiciano kind. i started reading the menu. how many freakin things can you make with coffee? ? it's a whole new language i don't understand! cell phones. anyone who is driving like an idiot usually is on a cell. BUT when kallie and her dad were having a huge important talk his phone rang 4 times and he got lots of text messages - which he sat there while kallie was crying and texted away. and he took every call. 2 were talking about plans that night.

Elana and Sweetmuffin - I actually had the audacity (SP?) to request a PLAIN CUP OF COFFEE at Starbucks from a guy dressed like a woman except he/she didn't shave their beard and they were offended because I just WANTED A PLAIN CUP OF COFFEE. Okay, with a little sugar. But still. He was wearing a sleevless dress and didn't shave under his arms. I found this more disturbing than ordering a plain cup of joe. But perhaps it was just me.

ok------you ordered a plain cup of coffee from a female dressing but hairy guy??? i love a cup (ok - a few cups) of plain coffee in the am. or if tired in the aft. i would order a cup of coffee and get the stares. i'd be worried that if he had to make a complicated drink some of his hair from his hair body would fall out. sorry - that was the first thought that came to mind.

Well, Liz, I live in San Francisco. Whatever. After 25 years I'm still yelling for people to SHAVE THEIR ARMPITS especially if they are wearing sleevless tops. If they are a man dressing as a woman or a woman dressing as a man, I DON'T WANT TO SEE HAIRY ARMPITS! I also lived in Berkeley, once. But I swear I never wore Birkenstocks and I continued to shave my legs. Needless to say, we were driven out by hairy, Birkenstock-wearing ex-hippie-type-persons. It's a generalization. But I don't care. They needed to shave. I needed to move. Well, one of us did what we needed to do.

I agree. Hairy armpits and sleeveless dresses are a no-no, even if you are a man! ;D

But perhaps it was just me. too many students at my college dressed like that. I went to a super PC liberal arts college (not far from where I live now) and as a result I am not immune to being shocked by that style of dress. Did he have the unwashed dreds (in the hair and in the beard) look going to? that's my fave....
