OK - 9 days ago i put the purple temp dye in my hair. i liked the purple. i have natural hilights and now my hair is a true burgundy (as in burgundy burgundy) and my hilights are still purple purple (which i love purple) the first day i washed it i had purple everywhere. since then my shampoo might be just a teeny bit colored but not really. remember - this was supposed to last 8-10 days!!!!!! it's not going anywhere. it looks the same as it did on the 3rd day. if it was purple i could deal. UGH!! you've all seen pics of me and i was thinking about killing my blond hair (33 years of blond is dull) and going darker. i can't afford to go to my hair lady right now. any ideas? 8-10 days my ass!!!

charity is going dark. i've never had dark hair (unless dying my hair blue at 14 counts!!) figures - kallie and i want to have some fun. 8-10 days for what? - some people? ?? i wish i could let my hair dresser have at it but that would be a fortune. not too cheap around here!!!! i can't believe i'll have dark hair. i mean it's fine but i've been blond for 33 years!!

Hmmm, well there is this dark champagne blonde color that lasts 28 washes, by that time the purple will be gone and you will be back to your previous color. It is from the drug store, looks good....and it is cheap....so you would be able to go darker, but not too dark, but then again I am no hairstylist.

it's kewl but it was a short term thing. and since some of it turned red (red red) and only my natural highlights are purple?? kinda makes you wonder how long it will last!!!! 6 months? until it grows out ;D ;D kallie loves it!!!! if it didn't turn this red color it would be kewl. guess i should be thankful it's not blue (red and blue=purple) - i guess more short term color until i get $$ and go to the hairdresser. get it darker with hi and low lites!!!!!!
i'll look for that stuff sweet so it will be better until i get to the salon!!!!!!!! i like sweet - easier then sweetmuffin!!

ok...I'm getting this from my daughter and she is just a teen but she's been through the whole temp hair thing before with her friends. she said you could try a combination of LOTS of lemon juice and mayo in your hair. The juice will strip out the rest of the color and the mayo will keep your hair from turning into straw.
Has anyone else tried this?

i know mayo is an excellent conditioner. hmm - lemon juice can't kill you hair too much (i don't think) cause we put it in our hair in the summer to lighten our hair
