Yep - there's that too! I'd like to see Brooke in a real storyline. Maybe with Dixie back now? Can I hope? They parted on good terms, so it could be a Dixie and Brooke against Krystal thing.

As far as I'm concerned, Krystal adds NOTHING to the show. She is not funny. She is not "nice" or some sort of heroine. She has no chemistry with anyone. She has no storyline other than moaning about her precious babydall (i hate that word) and this has been 3 YEARS AND COUNTING. I'm sick sick sick of it. She does nothing but aggravate me on a daily basis.
Babe, as much as I dislike her, I give credit for being a better developped character with her own story. But for christ's sake, cut the damn apron strings already.

Elana and Minkie - Baby Dawl is tired. Please send mama to a rest home or a spa or a mental facility. Or please send me to one, ASAP. Adam needs a rest. He's not looking so good. And neither am I. Maybe she could just lurk. She and Dixie can just be the resident Lurkers. No conversation, just the ocassional "OH, NO" looks on their faces. whenever they overhear something dramatic. That should keep them busy. And hopefully speechless. They could be like a Greek Chorus. Only they'd be Mimes. By the way, Minkie, I love your banner, but everytime I look at it I think of the movie "Carrie". Jr's just got the 70's Prom-look thing going with that suit.

I think I saw Sissy Spacik (sp?) LURKING outside the Mardi Gras Ball. And she was CARRYING A BUCKET!

Yikes I've been horribly neglecting this stuff, haven't I? Sorry guys.
BUT if you want...Tex recruited me to do a weekly column at her site Haunted, you're more than welcome to read them. Sort of like Random Thoughts but a little more serious, I guess...?

Actually, it's funny you should bump this thread tonight Minkie. I just finished watching last week's shows and I have some random thoughts of my own.
First of all, when I read your posts that Madden was buried under flowers I couldn't believe it. How stupid. But now that I've seen the scenes, it's even more ridiculous! Those were really tall flowers! And bush-like plants too!
Next, how did Madden get a haircut underground? I swear the first day he was in the coffin or whatever it is he's in, his hair was longer. Next day, completely new haircut. That really must be an all-inclusive little underground jail!
Why did they spend the time burying him in the park? It's so busy there right now! Why not bury him in the dump? Or the forest? Or the alley at SOS?
Also, everyone who is a suspect had very little time to track down Madden and catch him, let alone rig the underground thing he's in. So how did they find the time to install a camera, microphone, light AND shop for water and power bars? AND record all of that dialogue on a machine? And what if he eats all the power bars before he gives up Kate's location? How will they replinish the stock? They can't let him die or the whole plan is moot.
It's not all about Madden, I have to go back to wardrobe for a second. What the heck is Babe wearing for that trial? A skin tight white dress? Yeah, sure - that's what I'd wear to court if my husband were being sentenced. (roll eyes). I guess I should have saved that one for the wardrobe thread.
An upside - - I really like tha new yacht club set. Although I have to admit, I hadn't realized how many people actually had yachts in PV. They are so underused. And there's a Chandler yacht? There must be since the Chandler name is so big around the club. Who knew.
What was with that random Amanda/Del flirt session?
I actually didn't hate Zack in the past few episodes. I didn't particularly like him but I thought his performance was better than usual and while he has a long way to go, it gave me hope that 1) I can stomach him for another 2 months (yea for August!!) and 2) maybe he's giving his performance all he has now in hopes of landing a sweet role on another show?
Gratuitous Jack and Erica scene. It was boring and not exactly necessary except to show that they are still married and can still be in the same room together.
Will anyone ever redecorate Greenlee's condo? Will they ever call it anything other than Greenlee's condo?
I still feel ooogy about Julia and Jamie together. They just don't fit IMO, but I have to laugh to watch them because it's rare that Jamie comes off in a scene looking better than the other person.
Speaking of Julia - why did they throw in a scene with David flirting with Julia? I thought they were trying to shove David's "love" for Dixie down our throats. This only confuses me more.
Speaking of Jamie, I'm liking the Jamie/JR scenes.
Speaking of JR - WOW has Jacob Young been hitting his performances out of the park! I hate that he's once again apologozing to all of PV... the writers should really stop condeming this character... but he sure is great at the apology! The tears, the hopelessness in his eyes, the sincerness, the regret... go JY!
Cameron... what can I say? He has me crying my eyes out with those scenes with Spike and Kendall. And I'm particularly sensitive to stories about newborn boys right now, so I'm mush.
I like Kendall with less make-up. I think she looks endearing lately.
Will they change the name of that baby? And if so... at this point can he ever be anyone but Spike to the audience? I think that's a crazy name, but now if they start calling him Bill or Benny, I'll not be feeling it after a month of hearing about Spike.
Sorry for the indulgant post - I feel better now!

LOL No prob! I felt bad letting all this slide.
My own random thoughts: I HATE the fact that Jackson gets to rent out Greenlee's condo whenever he likes. That's ridiculous. He was her father for what, a year? And why the hell didn't she just SELL it? I mean really, Reggie "lent" out the condo to Danielle, Jackson "lent" it out to Mimi, Garrett and now Jonathan and Lily. Totally ridiculous.

I know! And Bianca lived ther for a little bit too before she left for Paris. That is a communal condo. I'm suprised Greenlee would tie up so many loose ends in PV on her way out, but didn't sell her real estate.
She could have screwed Ryan over like she did Kendall (Fusion stock) by forcing a sale of his own place. She half-owned it while they were married and inherited the whole thing during his "death," so he could have been temporarily homeless if she wanted.

I actually watched more of this week, and I gotta say... I HATE JAMIE with a passion. Frankly It's bizarre, I loathed Josh for months, but now with everyone randomly jumping on him I actually am beginning to feel sorry for him. I mean, he never really liked his dad, but now suddenly his dad is missing and everyone is spewing this horrific venom about the man and he has no idea what is going on.

I don't care about Josh. But I think if they made some modifications to his character, I could. My biggest problems with Josh are a) he's a Babe butt kisser, which pisses me off and b) he's basically JR part 2. I don't like seeing my fav replaced by another who is already getting the McT preferential treatment and c) his coming was at the price of the fisrt every daytime abortion. I resent that. I resent that a lot.

Minkie the "c" part really bugs me as well. Regardless of how a person feels about abortion that storyline was meant to be groundbreaking and they've basically just undone it. It would be like Ellen shooting one more episode of her show that said, "On second thought, nope, I'm not gay." Come on!! I don't care if Agnes Nixon says she's okay with this new "twist" it's still not cool with me. Erica made her decision and she has to live with whatever pain or guilt she may or may not feel about it. But that doesn't mean she should have to literally live with it, i.e., her son the walking abortion. Oh, sorry, I mean her son the walking almost abortion.
