Conan is a class act. NBC can go f**k themselves. Wait, they already did. Hundreds of times. ;D

I feel so bad for Conan. He seems like such a decent guy and Leno is such a douchebag. I don't think Leno or NBC had any idea how badly this would play out. Epic fail, idiots!

I honestly don't know who I'm the most angry at over this shit--NBC or Leno. Normally I like Leno. Now, not so much.

Amy, you said exactly what I was thinking ;D ITA, Brandon. I switch back and forth b/w being mad at Leno and the network. I think the only right way out of this mess is for Leno to bow out (which clearly he's not doing). Unless he does that, I will have lost any and all respect for him that I ever had.
I really do think Conan's a decent guy. The article today broke my heart about how he broke down in front of his staff during the announcement- largely b/c most of them (alot of them from his first day on the air) followed him to the west coast and moved their entire lives, bought homes, cars, etc., and now may not have the monetary means to go elsewhere. Normally I don't believe everything I read, but...this is the man that paid his staff their salaries out of his own pocket during the strike. To be fair, I think Leno and maybe Letterman did eventually, too, but that was after Conan paved the road. It says a lot that his staff is so loyal to him, that most of them did uproot their lives.
I literally grew up watching Conan, and I don't want to see him go out like this...

I have heard a rumor earlier that Leno just might walk, but I'm taking that with a ton of salt. I agree with you though, if he takes back The Tonight Show, I will lose all respect for him.

Beth, thanks for the link. I guess, I've been living under a rock, lately. I hadn't heard anything about this. One would think, tptb would have given time for the 'Conan era' to take root, before hastily wanting to shift the show back to Leno. All those poor staff members--Geez! Lori

Apparently TMZ is now saying that Leno has already signed a contract with NBC to take back The Tonight Show. If this is true, he forever lost me as a fan. I hope Letterman kicks his ass.

Nice siggy, Brandon From everything I've read today, Friday Jan. 22 will be Conan's last show. He is indeed exiting NBC. They are paying him the remaining on his contract (30 mil) and letting him go with a competing network. I guess things can change in a week, but that's it as of right now. I know Team Conan on Facebook had over 100,000 members a couple days ago and there will potentially be protests in LA and Chicago. Right now they have one set up in NYC Monday at 7am outside the Today Show. Rumor has it that one of the attendees is Steven Ho -the stunt coordinator that had been on teaching those stunts to Conan on several occasions. I know one thing. I am also done with Jay and NBC forever! I will be following Coco wherever he gogo.

Thank you. I've heard that he might go to FOX, which I think he might be better suited for anyway. I'll definitely follow him there. I'm not gonna entirely boycott NBC (waaaay too into DAYS right now), but I will boycott Leno. As far as I'm concerned, he can take one of his gazillion cars out for a spin and then crash and burn to death.

You're welcome! I agree. I think he will find a better home with Fox - maybe one that let's him bring back some of his more risque comedy bits. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They could even put him on at 11 and angle it that he is not "competing" with the others by starting a half hour earlier. And Leno...well, see below
