Okay, I know no one here is Babe's biggest fan, but I was wondering what some sane (well, quasi-sane) people thought about the Jeff/Babe scenes today. Was she rude or just trying to help?

I'm not sure what I thought of that scene. At first she came across as rude. Give the poor man a break---none of this mess is his fault. I really like Dr. Jeff and feel bad for him. Josh is his only son and he wants to be a father to him. That's a crime? It wasn't his decision for Erica to have an abortion and it's not his fault Madden was a sicko freak. I thought Babe showed more sympathy towards him as the episode went on. Now Josh needs to stop feeling sorry for himself and give his dad a break.

I think though that Babe realized that the more Jeff pushed and prodded and tried to worm into Josh's life the more Josh would want nothing to do with him. Yes, she could have said it better, but nearly everyone at the casino is ripping her to shreads for daring to voice an opinion

i was on the fence with her today.
i like Babe just fine. I'm probably the biggest fan she has on this board, haha. However, lately she has been annoying me, mainly because of her relationship with josh.
I get that a lot of this is plot driven in case Jacob leaves, but it just seems to me that Babe is still being too flirtatious with someone she knows has a thing for her. (don't get me started on Zack/Dixie! lol). Sure, they have chemistry, and it shouldn't be ignored, but i hate that Babe's mouth says one things to him, but her behavior says another. (all i have to say is that she and josh better "accidently" take this shower together!)
and that leads me to the discussion at hand: Jeff.
For the first couple segments i was really on edge because i thought she might be pushing her boundaries, but then i realized that Jeff really did want her opinion, and i think he's going to listen to it. for that reason alone, i was perfectly fine with her talking to jeff about josh.

She was nicer as the scene went on and I agreed with her take on how Josh would repond to being pushed about being a doctor. For whatever reason TPTB have made Babe his confidante so she knows him better than anyone in PV so I think the numbnuts at the Casino are wrong to rip her to shreds for voicing her opinion. I do think she wants Jeff and Josh to have a relationship but I agree that she was a little harsh at the beginning of her and Dr. Jeff's scenes. And flail, I don't hate Babe either. I enjoy all the witty, funny things our fellow posters say when they talk about her. You gotta admit, it brings out the fun/funny in a lot of SCers. ;D But I'd be lying if I said I hate her--I just don't feel too strongly about her one way or the other. However, I am getting a little bit tired of seeing her almost everyday and they don't need to put her in practically every storyline.

hmmm - i am not the biggest babe fan (ick-gross-die babe die)and really belive yes - she was being nicer to him as time went on. i just don't know why babe is the queen of most scenes. and maybe she needs to worry about her relationship with her husband then everyone elses. and the shower seens? i agree flail. it better be one big accident where one runs out and quickly covers up with high embarassment. i did like her at one time and i thought i hated her fully but if the shower scene doesn't go the way we want - which it won't - my hate will be full to the rim.

;D ;D ;DYeah, Babe and Zach need a refresher course on acceptable behavior towards the opposite sex when one is married. Uhm, full on kissing and nuzzling someone who is not you spouse is crossing the line big time.

I didn't watch but....since when is Jeff pushing and prodding in Josh's life? they've had ONE SCENE together since Josh learned the truth!
It's ridiculous. That is what SHOULD be the story but isn't.

oh I agree the SL should be all about Erica& Josh and Josh & Jeff.. but given that tiic are inept and hopeless on that front I'm glad that they are a least not ignoring the idea that Josh has a lot to deal with in his parentage revelation

LOL Honestly it feels like they are ignoring it. One scene doesn't cut it. But I guess its better than nothing.

well they built up the mardi gras ball too and Babe hogged that in the end. It was all about her and that hostage scenario instead of, oh i don't know, grief over Ethan dying?

Someone named Ethan died? Well, whoever he was I'm sure his dad took notice of his death and mourned him accordingly. Unless he was too busy beating up the Special Olympics softball team.
