[glow=red,2,300]FREAKING LONG!! KUDOS TO ANYONE WHO ACTUALLY READS THIS STORY!![/glow]
I'm so sad that they don't use Simone more. Right now, she might as well not be on the show. But here's a scenario they could use for a story:
Simone gets a letter stating that her dad had been living in Florida and has taken his life. She feels saddened by this that they never reconciled their relationship and haven't talked in years. She decides to go to Florida to handle his estate. Erin - knowing this has been a shock for Simone and that it will be hard to go through another funeral so soon - decides to go with her.
They get to Florida only to find out that her dad has been basically living in squaller. He lived in an old condo in a bad neighborhood and the place was almost completely empty of furniture. It's also gross - they get a hotel.
They set up a modest funeral/memorial service as they only people attending are a few neighbors and friends from the marina. At the funeral, the girls meet some people and learns a few things.
Simone meets an older lady that lives in the other side of the condo. The lady tells her that her dad was a nice man who talked to her often. She said he spoke of Simone fondly and followed her success in PV. The lady always urged him to call Simone, but he didn't.
She also learned that her dad was actually loaded! Although he had become depressed and quit his practice, he had developed a drug that cured _____ (insert name of rare disease) and gained a fortune from it, which he barely spent. Also, the lady mentions that there always seemed to be something the guy was hiding and many times, perhaps as much as a few nights each month, she could hear someone coming to his house during the night and sneaking in. They would talk, but she couldn't make out what they were talking about, and then the person would leave. She also couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman.
While Simone is talking, Erin gets sidelined by a cute, but geeky guy who hits on her with cheesy one-liners. But, she discovers that he owns a Marina nearby and that he knew Simones dad because he had a boat docked at his marina. Funny thing is, the boat is gone a lot.
Back at the condo, they decide to go through her dads things to give away whatever is usable to a charity. They plan on leaving Florida the next afternoon after the reading of the will. The condo has a basement where Simone's dad kept box after box of medical research documents and momentos from his practice. Behind the boxes is a freezer (set dept. - just reuse the freezer from the Dillon cabin) and in the freezer, Erin opens it to find the body of a dead teenage girl!!!!
