unless it's still part of another interview. I can't keep track, so who knows?

Zach's all, folks!
BY CAROLYN HINSEY
Thanks to a complicated kidnapping scheme involving JR, Zach takes control of Chandler Enterprises this week on "All My Children."
"Junior [JR] faked his kidnapping," explains Thorsten Kaye, who plays the wily Zach. "They wanted $100 million to return him."
JR's father, Adam, turned to the only other rich guy in town, Zach, for the money. As collateral, Adam offered up Chandler Enterprises. But unbeknownst to everyone, JR's fake kidnappers were actually working for Zach.
"So that $100 million comes right back to Zach," continues Kaye. "It's payback to Junior, to show him what Zach is capable of. He never forgot what Junior did to Kendall."
There's another, more long-term reason.
"I think it has to do with relationships between fathers and sons," muses Kaye. "What Zach is creating for these two boys is a common enemy. Because in the end, you know Adam and Junior will unite to go after him. It all comes back to Zach's son [who died] and him now watching these guys trying to destroy each other. It has to be about that. Otherwise, it's just a soap opera moment."
Adam and JR are in for a lot of soap opera moments, because their company isn't the only thing Zach is about to take over.
"Junior is in a pickle, because he told his dad he was kidnapped, and his dad actually stood up for him and helped him," says Kaye. "Adam got the money and offered everything he owned as collateral. He proved he loves his son. So now they're out a whole company and money and cars and the mansion. I guess Zach owns another ugly house."
Zach's wife, Kendall, doesn't know about this yet, but she will soon.
"She'll be happy. She's all about redecorating another house. Maybe they'll even buy some beachfront in Pennsylvania," cracks Kaye of the inexplicable Pine Valley Beach. The stage is set for a big Cambias/Chandler smackdown.
"I like Zach and Adam as adversaries," says Kaye. "They're good together, because they're both all about business. Selfishly, I like it because it's such a privilege to work with David Canary [Adam]. ... We both like running lines, so we just sit there trying to figure stuff out."
In the weeks to come, though, it will be Adam and JR teaming up to bring down Zach.
"If Adam and Junior get the company back," hints the actor, "it will only be because Zach is thinking about something else."
