Previews for the week of 03-Apr-2006
by Carol Banks Weber
Natalie doesn’t give a damn what John says about butting out of his affairs. She will butt in, but good.
Michael joins in John’s fight to collar the real killer of their late father.
John and Michael give Dr. Snyder a run-through about that fateful night.
Dr. Snyder confesses to cutting Thomas McBain open when he shouldn’t have, because he was too hammered to cut into a piece of steak, much less a living body.
Something about this feels wrong, John senses. Like, there’s more to this murder mystery than the confession of this squirrelly doctor.
The key could point back to that teenaged boy who hung around the hospital, asking about Thomas McBain’s condition during surgery, John thinks.
Natalie and Rex don’t see eye to eye, but they work it out.
Rex avails Natalie with his considerable, detective-like experience regarding a new clue.
Dr. Crosby charts undiscovered John territory.
Cristian lays down the law to Evangeline. But he’s only trying to save her behind from the Todd madness.
A mistake in the boxing ring could mean another line of work for Cris. Not necessarily as an artist.
The mistake cost Cris the fight, as well as use of one of his hands.
Michael prescribes that Cris hold off on fighting until a recovery of about a month.
Cris pays Dr. Michael no mind, jeopardizing both his careers.
Cris’s dual abilities – as an artist and fighter – wows Ricky as quite the revelation.
Roxy provides unorthodox counsel in the Book of John to Natalie.
Adriana’s favorite couple of the moment, next to her and Rex, would be Cristian and Natalie. She’s been rooting for them to kiss and make up.
Cris has been keeping a lot of “friendly” time with Evangeline, though. What he does for his former lawyer might be viewed as going above and beyond just friendship. He genuinely cares what happens to her in this Todd mess, and shows he’s about more than just talk.
David confirms Todd’s worst suspicion about Spencer and Margaret. The “M” word. Two “M” words, actually.
David and Todd then forge an unlikely but dramatically compelling alliance in order to bring down the house of Spencer.
The first order of business, according to Todd, is for David to get out there and accrue some solid leads against Spencer.
David tosses Spencer’s office for those leads, and hits another kind of pay dirt—one he never saw coming.
What’s Spencer and Bangkok have to do with this Margaret case? David means to get to the bottom of this lead. (Spencer spirited Margaret away to Bangkok for safekeeping.)
Todd passes on the word to Evangeline that David’s on their side, on the case.
David works on chipping away at Blair, so she’ll finally wake up and smell the deceit dripping off Spencer.
Rex sounds the alarms for Todd, via Evangeline, about the fuzz closing in.
Bo closes in, Todd senses the end is near.
Three Angel Square bullies – Gretchen, Adam and Neil – close in on their easy prey, Starr.
Ricky fends the bullies off for Starr, receiving not so much as a thanks for his gallantry. He’s bugged by her ungrateful attitude.
Starr does reach out with assistance to Ricky.
Ricky turns his dignified nose up at Starr’s effort.
Blair begins to question the too-good-to-be-trueness of Spencer.
Soon, though, the questions come to naught, as Blair falls for the snake charmer Spencer again.
(The last thing in the world Blair wants is for her indiscretion with Spencer to reach her children.)
Blair disrobes to fornicate with Spencer, when her daughter Starr happens upon the humiliating scene, aghast.
Starr reads Blair the riot act for her betrayal of Todd with Spencer.
Bo phones Blair with the news of Todd (safely) taken back into police custody, which stops mother and daughter from further heated argument—for the moment.
Starr and Blair make hasty tracks to the police station to see what’s going on with Todd, each with a different approach.
Starr tattletales on Blair to Todd about this dalliance with Spencer.
Todd also learns that now, Blair is aware that he’s no longer ignorant of her cheating on him with Spencer.
What will happen to Margaret is about to come to fruition this week.
Natalie strikes paydirt in her own personal investigation of the murder of John’s cop father.
Tess and Nash confiscate the videotape of herself as a five-year-old with her molester. They are bummed when it’s not the only videotape lying around, just the dupe.
Antonio finally resurfaces to join in this DID equation, fresh from his wounded recovery.
Antonio, Clint, Viki, Dr. Jamison and Dr. Crosby are expecting the arrival of an unsuspecting Tess with Nash. They are eager to begin the integration session, one of many.
Tess, however, is far from eager. Disobedient, in fact, ready to blow this popsicle stand.
Nash talks Tess into giving the hypnosis a try, when he puts their love on the line, swearing they’ll always be.
Tess undergoes the beginning of a series of visits with the psycho-therapist(s), for the arduous process of putting Jessica’s pieces back together again.
Jessica communicates to her alter, Tess, as the curtain retracts.
This has been hard for Clint. He speaks of self-recrimination as a man and a father, in the presence of a sensitive Dorian.
Dorian takes care that Clint is taken care of in this most horrific of experiences.
Antonio goes bellyaching about Nash and Tess to Cristian, but finds no supportive audience there.
Marcie and Lindsay pay a little tribute to Jennifer, by recalling some of her finer moments.
Marcie bequeaths the matron of honors to Lindsay.
Lindsay trembles with the honor of such a bequest.
Michael and Marcie settle finally on the date in which they’ll become man and wife, legal-like.
Next week: Cristian comes through for Evangeline (just platonic pals my ass)… Todd tries to enlighten Blair about the real Spencer, but she’s as obtuse as ever… Viki takes care of Tess, as a mother should.
May Sweeps brings on a disaster, which will prove disastrous for Evangeline (and quite the acting opportunity for portrayer Renee Elise Goldsberry) when she loses her eyesight.
Matthew Metzger (Duke) has been dismissed; his last appearance falls sometime in May.
Rumors: Tuc Watkins (David) and Timothy D. Stickney (R.J.) just may follow Metzger out the door. Watkins plans to hunt for work closer to the West Coast as soon as he’s done with his contract, while Stickney reportedly finished up already.
Kassie DePaiva (Blair) imagined that more than a few Todd & Blair fans are fed up with the couple’s usual rigmarole, where one or the other pulls a boner, does the contrition and remorse dance, only to do it all over again when one of them jives the other. While the actress has no idea of her storyline’s immediate consequence, she does hope that if it isn’t in the cards for Todd and Blair to reunite yet again, that the reason be because Blair has had it with Todd keeping important things from her.
