ATWT: MARRIED! (Emily/Paul)
OLTL: Finally! NORA WAKES UP (Nora)
AMC'S DIXIE FACES HER SECRET PAST
The murky mystery surrounding Dixie's missing four years begins to come into focus this week when she catches a glimpse of the man who, according to portrayer Cady McClain, "she has been dealing with ever since she's been gone from Pine Valley. He had a huge effect on her and is a great deal of the reason she didn't come back." The mystery fella is - drumroll, please - Dr. Greg Madden.
It's no coincidence that he's an ob/gyn and fertility specialist by trade - remember, Dixie was pregnant with Tad's daughter at the time of her "death". When Dixie spots the doc, McClain previews, "It's a big, big surprise because she's been looking for this guy for a long time. That he happens to be in town, among all the people she left behind...It's terrifying. She gets even more freaked out when she overhears a conversation between him and Tad, where Tad talks about how Greg is doing a family history of the Martins."
As far as Tad knows, Greg's interest in the Martins is related exclusively to Josh, but Dixie is in the dark about that, so she visits Greg in search of answers. "Dixie has a lot on the line." McClain emphasizes. "Greg knows everything about her. Everything about her history, everything about her situation. And if he reveals her to everybody, she will be hated - hated - by the people in town."
Why? "Because of what she did in her absence with Greg," the actress demurs. "They made a pact to never reveal what they did, and if either of them breaks that pact, it could be very dangerous for both of them." When the two come face-to-face, says McClain, "They stare each other down and the threats are exchanged." Both have a lot to lose, bur, says Ian Buchanan (Greg), "Greg feels he has the upper hand over her at this point because he knows why she stayed away and why she's still hiding. For her to pursue her vendetta against him would force her to reveal herself." Nods McClain, "If Dixie chose to go down in a fireball, she could take Greg down with her. But the odds are stacked in his favor because he hasn't been living a lie and she has."
However their showdown shakes out, hints Buchanan, "How Greg is involved in everything ... It's very far-reaching, bigger than anyone can imagine."
THIS WEEK (Wed-Fri, usually)
Dixie gives in to David's demands.
Erica is pleased by the progress she makes in her plan to destroy Greg.
Dixie and Greg play a game of cat and mouse.
VCR ALERT
On Monday, April 3, Dixie has a score to settle with Greg. Zach warns Ryan to keep Kendall away from Greg on Tuesday, April 4. ;D"Greg's not a well-liked man at the moment," sighs Ian Buchanan (Greg). "His God complex is rearing its head in a very ugly way, even though he thinks he's doing the right thing where the people in his life are concerned."
GRAPEVINE
Word on the AMC front is that a murder mystery is heading down the Pine Valley pike; it'll likely kick off in May.
HOT OFF THE NET
As usual, TK, AM, Z/K.
LETTERS
A Dixie/Zach fan letter. AMC devotees would like to see a storyline between Julia/Anita. Other AMC fans are curious as to why no-Ryan/Kendall spoiler in the spring previews, "I was really looking forward to them getting closer..." writes a Pine Valleyite.
