To those AMC fans uncomfortable with the Lily/Jonathan pairing, Jeff Branson (Jonathan) says, "They're going in a direction that I think will set people's minds at ease."
ZACH'S CHOICE: KENDALL OR THE BABY?
The honeymoon is over for Zach and Kendall; "She's in a coma," explains Thorsten Kaye (Zach). Kendall was critically injured after walking into the trap JR set for Babe, and now her life- and her baby's- hangs in the balance.
The threat becomes whether the pressure in her head is going to become too great. In order to decrease the pressure, the drugs that need to be used, can't be used with a baby inside her- they would instantly kill the baby. They'd have to take the baby out by c-section, but it's too early for that and there's a very strong possibility that the baby wouldn't survive. The alternative, though, is just as dire- the baby would do just fine in there for another couple of weeks, but if the pressure gets too bad, Kendall could have permanent brain damage and become a vegetable.
"Zach promised her that the baby would come first, because that's what she wanted," explains Kaye. "And he will honor that. Zach's biggest downfall is that he's a man of his word. Not always a smart thing. He has a code of honor and sticks to it. That's what makes him a little different." Erica and Ryan want the operation performed, but Zach arrives in time to stop it. Meanwhile, Kendall grows aware of everything going on around her and is determined to wake up. "This is a hard thing," says Kaye, "to see someone you love in a coma, not knowing if she will come out, and having to make a choice between the baby and her."
