via NB. Angela's comments...not mine! ;D ;D
This time McTavish twists the knife (all quotes in BOTH articles are hers), I can translate McTavish and this all means she's doing K/R/G version 2.0, sigh, unless she can be stopped (I'm not suggesting a hit, lol).
AMC: Will Zach and Dixie's Ruse Become Real?
Last week, as legions of "Zendall" fans are all too aware of, Kendall agreed to let Zach pretend to be carrying on an affair with Dixie so the duo could deliver an alibi about their whereabouts the nigh Madden died. This week, says Head Writer Megan McTavish, "is the first week where people are really tested in this ruse, mainly Kendall and Zach."
First test - David. Although he did a similar ruse with Erica, he ends up buying that Zurky (Dixie=Lurky) are lovers. He snaps a shot of them smooching and plasters it on television. "Kendall is blindsided by the picture." Dixie the delivers some unwelcome news to Zach: She loves him. "Dixie understands that Zach loves Kendall, but true feeling is building in her her and deep in her heart there is a hope that Zach will see that the woman who can undersatnd him in all his complexity is Dixie, not Kendall."
Zach's reaction? "He is upset to learn that she has these feelings. His heart at the moment, is solely Kendall's. But Dixie means what she says, 'I am a grown woman and whatever happens, I can handle it.'" Kendall is also trying her best to handle things, and to help her hubby's case - to that end she publicly blasts Dixie for stealing her man. "They [Zach and Kendall] do steal kisses when they're on their own...But it gets more taut and more tense from this week on."
In part, because Ryan becomes a player this week, too. He figures out what Zach and Kendall are up to and takes Kendall out on the town so the citizens of Pine Valley will buy that the Slater's marriage is on the rocks...and they encounter Zach. "Ryan doesn't much like what Zach is doing to Kendall - and I don't think Zach will much like the time Ryan is spending with Kendall," she warns. "The key to both of these things, Ryan/Kendall and Zach/Dixie, is, 'How much of this is a charade and how much of this is getting real?' At this point, anything can happen. People are under pressure and there's a lot of emotion boiling."
**There's also a large Lily/Jonathan story in the issue. It's a GH/DAYS/ATWT cover and the caption of WHO'S IN! WHO'S OUT! has the biggest part of the cover, and in a small strip at the bottom left-hand side AMC's Dixie to Zach: "I love you!"**
Lily Dumps Jonathan on AMC
One of daytime's most controversial pairings hits a giant stumbling block this week when Jonathan reveals to Lily that he has fully recovered from the surgery...once she learns of his deception, she tells him their marriage is over. "Lily, either, way, was about to be shattered." Jonathan is forced to come clean, "It's the only way Jack will agree to drop the petition." Okay, so for like 14 sentences McTavish waxes poetic on how great Jon was trying to be. "I don't want to make Jack too much of a villain here," she cackles [yeah my wording - so what?]..."from his point of view, his daughte rhas been decieved. Jack never believed Jon loved Lily, and he doesn't believe Jon was lying for a good purpose. He is moving from a fatherly place." The Laverys' union, at least for now, ends. "...she really believes it can't work now because they're not the same. The upshot is, Lily becomes convinced she has to find a young man like her." So Lily goes online dating. "And that could lead to big trouble." Especially with creepy writ...stalker Terry still on the loose. A new chapter for Jonathan begins, "he is no longer simple Jonathan. He has to figure out who he is now. He loves and wants Lily, but that may no longer be possible." Enter Amanda? "Amanda...is right there to help both of them. But her feelings start to get engaged with Jonathan. And that will cause complication in the future."
GRAPEVINE
An AMC vet, whose contract isn't set to expire for another two YEARS, recently took a meeting with producers of a rival soap.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN [Wed-Fri typically]
Ryan sees through Kendall's ruse.
Kendall struggles to keep her charade alive.
Ryan promises Annie that he will protect her.
VCR ALERT
On Monday, August 21 [My birthday, by the way], Kendall warns Dixie to keep her hands off Zach. "Dixie thinks Kendall is a little over-the-top," chuckles her portrayer, Cady McClain. "But her intention is to be brutally honest with Kendall. She's not really a minipulative person - although if she has to be, she will be." [Ah, I wish Kendall would box Dixie up and send her to Iraq for my birthday] David sets out on a mission on Tuesday, August 22.
QUESTION
Does Josh stand a chance with Babe? Alexa (Babe) answers:
"I think even in the most solid of relationships, anyone can come in between a couple - and if JR pushes her any further, breaks trust with her again, I could see her going [Josh's] way."
ELSEWHERE
Colin Egglesfield [Colin] is still waxing poetic on how he wants to be in a romantic relationship with his on-screen sister, Kendall. He said when he first got the role he started watching the show and though Alicia was a hottie, and he's like "I'm never gonna get to kiss her." Then he's like it doesn't really matter that she's his sister, "I don't see why that should stop him." Hmm.
There's also an interview with Julie Hanan Carrithers [AMC, EP] about some questions. Why do Z/K still live in that small condo? "Because Megan intends to make Kendall a single mommy quickly," uhm no she actually says because Kendall is used to the place, uhm yeah whatever - maybe it's because you're spending too much money on newbies.
