Zach pays Aidan to babysit Greenlee and ensure she’s nowhere close to the hospital where Kendall and Ryan are.
Aidan does his job, fulfilling Zach’s assignment to the letter, by distracting Greenlee at a club, where they toss back a few and party.
Aidan and Greenlee unwittingly engage in their special form of foreplay, which is to bite each other’s heads off.
Aidan has had too much to drink and has trouble locating the key to his pad. Seeing this, Greenlee – high on drugs – lets him sleep it off at her place.
Aidan turns on the charms, however drunken, and coaxes Greenlee to bed, where the two get intimate.
The morning after, Aidan sobers up and assumes he and Greenlee are on the same page about keeping their relationship friendly from now on.
Deep inside, Aidan’s full of crap and he knows it.
Greenlee makes it easy for Aidan to blow off their one-night stand as just that, one night only, and back to platonic pals. But deep inside, she, too, would rather have something more with him.
Temporarily, Greenlee and Erica bury the hatchet. But they are far from chummy.
Zach and Kendall squeeze some time to know each other in the Biblical sense.
Zach figures out what has been going on behind his back in the name of recovering Spike’s hearing.
Zach passes on what he knows about Dr. Hilliard to Ryan.
Annie’s squirrelly behavior spurs Ryan to go digging into her family tree.
Ryan’s investigation unveils the manner in which Annie’s dad went deaf, after he tumbled out of a window.
Annie orders her deaf dad to call on her and Ryan socially, to smooth any possible rough waters.
Ryan encounters Annie’s mysterious dad, when he shows up to say hello.
Annie catches Ryan doing this investigating, and expresses her anger at him.
Zach is able to give Annie a broader perspective about Ryan and her father. And so, she goes to Ryan—about to tell him everything he needs to know.
Annie opens up part of her family past, to the part where she feels responsible for sending her wacky brother to prison (for a crime he never committed) in hopes of getting him therapy and subsequently causing their mother to kill herself.
Instead of shunning Annie, Ryan embraces her, forgives her and understands her side. Together, they wash away her past into the great body of water before them (probably the lake), in one, great symbolic gesture, as Ryan reaffirms his unconditional love for Annie.
Adam continues posing as Stuart in order to be privy to intimate, true details about Krystal’s and Colby’s inner lives. And be close to them without them knowing.
“Stuart” commiserates with Krystal by sympathizing that Adam should never have kidnapped Jenny. It’s as close to a public confession of remorse as Adam’s gonna get.
Krystal and Tad hash over what the smooch meant.
JR connives to use Ava’s outrageous personality for his own professional gain.
JR shares his idea – an online goldmine featuring Ava – with Amanda.
Next week: Spike runs into a bout of health trouble, which scares Kendall to death, ‘cause Kendall thinks it’s all her fault… Ryan scares Greenlee with his ranting and raving… Ryan rants and raves against Kendall and her lies… Zach pointblank asks Kendall to be honest with him… Annie is honest with Ryan about some of what’s been troubling her. Some, because there’s something else she’s holding back, something that won’t leave her conscience alone
