Cameron Mathison (Ryan), 38, is among the star-studded cast of the next Dancing With The Stars, it was announced last Wednesday on ABC’s Good Morning, America. He partners up with Edyta Sliwinska (her boyfriend partnered up with GH’s Kelly Monaco/Sam to win the first DWTS). Sliwinska distinguished herself as being the sole professional dancer to have completed every season of DWTS. Mathison joins former Spice Girls Melanie Brown, Vegas icon Wayne Newton, Marie Osmond, Jennie Garth (Beverly Hills: 90210) and Sabrina Bryan (Cheetah Girls), among others. The sixth season begins September 24.
Sabine Singh (Greenlee) revealed her tremendously dry sense of humor – almost on par with British babe Aiden Turner’s (Aidan) – by mock-complaining about having to perform love scenes with somebody so grotesque with the six-pack and the muscles and perfectly dreamy features. She made a fun bet with the universe that before too long her and Turner’s on-screen coupling will rival that of Zendall, until pretty soon, it’ll be Zendall, who? in the Soap Opera Digest polls.
Lightly bemoaning her horrible timing, Sydney Penny (Julia) comes back to work on AMC inauspiciously, right after Justin Bruening (Jamie) leaves for possible work in California. Just as she missed an on-screen reunion with the then-departing Eva La Rue (ex-Maria), Penny said, she missed one with Bruening, whose character romanced hers for a brief time. Jamie’s gone, but Josh is still around, and scripts already in Penny’s hands reveal that these two will come to a renewed understanding. “I got the script and I was like, ‘Wow. That’s about right!’ A long time coming, I think. They started out with a great sparring relationship, so they have that history and there’s always going to be a little abrasiveness, but they actually have quite a bit in common; they’re both obstinate and family-oriented.” The reason Penny left AMC in the first place was to take maternity leave for the birth of her and husband Rob’s first baby, a boy named Chasen with May 31st for his birth date. The family divided time between New York and North Carolina, introducing baby Chasen to the extended family, to nature, and working on a garden in the country. For her first few days back on the soap job, Penny brought along Chasen for the introductions in hair and makeup. “He’s being passed around and around and a half hour later I’m like, ‘Has anyone seen my baby?’” –Soap Opera Digest, September 4, 2007
When David Canary’s (Adam/Stuart) doing his thing on the stage, it takes every ounce of focus and will power on Brent Weber’s (Sean) part to not get so swept up that he forgets his own lines in response. Weber admitted to the fascination on more than one occasion. But then the great thespian Canary has also been known to forget a line or flub one. The soap vet takes his flubs in stride, which reassured Weber that everybody makes mistakes and it’s okay.
To Alec Musser (Del), an ideal storyline would be to involve him more in JR’s love life, as a competitor for Amanda’s affections. Musser’s so down with giving JR a run for his money. Plus, it would give Musser a chance to play more with Jacob Young (JR), whom he admires.

Wedding bells for a couple nobody expects to pair up. Sounds forced to me.
