Hey Gang,
(eat your heart out Natalie)......
It's that time so pull up a chair and grab that Frappuccino (mmmmm Caramel) as I throw a few suds your way this early Saturday morning.
Well the cat's out of the bag so I suppose my big clue won't matter much now...lol. I was told to sit on this news for another week or so and I did so like a good little girl and now look..oh well. When I give my word it has to mean something so I guess in the long run I did the right thing (though I was busting at the seams here). I mentioned that I had a huge clue as to who the new Babe would be last Sunday over at SoapCentral so needless to say I was taken aback when it was let out the way it was. I had planned on telling you that she didn't have far to drive from Port Charles to Pine Valley but now the world knows that Amanda Baker (Jolene GH Night Shift) is our new Babe Chandler. When I first heard the news earlier on I was rather surprised considering who was up for the role and didn't get it. Needless to say ABC is sending that message out loud and clear. Don't let the door hit you on the way out but good luck (oh and be on the look out for that nice fruit basket we sent you). Das Vadanya...Auf Wiedersehen....Sayonnora...
Below is a picture of ABC's new Babe Chandler (Amanda Baker):
I told you that there is a new attitude at ABC and if you didn't believe me before, you will now. It's why Julia Barr wasn't given so much as a send off after spending years at this network. It's why Phil Carey (Asa/OLTL) was offered recurring only months after batting lung cancer. It's why Hillary Smith (Nora/OLTL) was only asked to stay on the day she was clearing out her dressing room. I think the biggest wake up call this year was watching Renee Goldsberry (Evangeline/OLTL) being shown the door without any real negotiation. I don't think anyone saw that one coming. Considering the fact that Goldsberry was the network's golden goose, that one took even setsiders by surprise. Actors no longer feel that safety net anymore. Even the most seasoned and well known are left feeling unsettled at this point and who can blame them? All bets are off and anyone is game at this point. Krystal and Babe will embrace in an upcoming scene (due to air October 8th) and when they pull away from one another it will be the new Babe we see. Personally I thought they should just throw caution to the wind and use the technology Michael Jackson used in his "Black and White" video. Let's just see their faces morph into one another's and maybe we won't even notice...ya think?
The network feels that Zach and Kendall should have something more thrown at them then just baby woes so look for the popular duo to battle more then just Spike's deafness and Ian's medical problems. Things will look bleak at one point however that won't last for long. Just a wrench to throw into the fire for pure shock value. Annie's behavior is about to be called into question big time and her brother knows this all to well. He's gearing up for some big pay back on the sister who sent him to prison.
I want to go on record to say once again that the leading man who wants out at AMC is not Cameron Mathsion (Ryan/AMC). Now if Cameron leaves, then it will be a surprise for a great many of us who are given the backstage scuttle. Even the magazines admitted they were stunned by the departure of Cady McClain (Dixie/AM) because NOBODY was told this was happening including me. I may be the first to say I told you so but that also works both ways. If I didn't really know something was coming, I won't pretend that I did which is why I said that I did not know Cady was out back when that shocker hit the soap world. Saying that I did would have been wrong because it would not have been the truth. We are given tidbits not a full play by play on everything that's happening onscreen and backstage. If I do hear something on Cameron leaving I will let you know however this leading man is NOT Cameron. Keep in mind that requesting to leave and being allowed to leave are totally different things. They need him right now however they are also looking into other possibilities. Hear/tell there may be some secret (well it was until I opened my mouth) auditions going on as we speak to play all the angles should push come to shove.
I told you last week that a fan favorite from OLTL may be on her way out and that's looking more plausible now. Seems this gal wants to spread her wings and do more of what she loves on stage. Keep in mind that this is the backstage scuttle at this point in time. It does not mean it will definitely happen. I'm not Sylvia Brown guys. I can only tell you what I'm hearing from backstage sources. I can't predict the future.
It looks like Kelly Monaco will be sticking around after all so fans of Sam can breathe a sigh of relief. Seems they made her an offer she couldn't refuse (she will have Beluga Caviar drop shipped from New York daily along with various champagnes and tea sandwiches brought to her dressing room). She will also be receiving gift with purchase through the Estee Lauder counter for the remainder of her stay at GH. She will get to paint her dressing room that color pink she's always wanted for creative reasons and is looking forward to that new Rolls Royce to be delivered to her by an undetermined date. Good luck Kelly and God bless...
I did tell you several weeks ago before these audition scripts began to hit that Marcie would do something extreme in answer to what she's about to face now with Todd. Well look for the beginning of the end folks cuz it's here. Micheal and Marcie will be splitsville with Marcie going off the deep end head first.
And in that same vein, a new audition script was released this week by ABC for the role of Harvey on OLTL (yes he has big floppy ears and doesn't talk much) but Harvey is real in this case. This is another one where the real names have been crossed out with fakes written in their place so that we won't figure out who they are talking about.
Scene opens at the Decater bar. The bartender walks up to Lisa (really Marcie) and asks her what she wants to drink. Lisa tells him that she would like a diet soda and apple juice for her son. The bartender Brandon leans in and asks Lisa who she's supposed to be since it's Halloween. Brandon says that she looks like she's dressed up to be an uptight librarian type. Lisa tells him that she would just like her drinks now. Brandon looks at her and says that he can't serve her anything because children are not allowed in a bar. He points to the boy with Lisa and tells her that he cannot stay there with her at the bar.
Lisa gets edgy and tells Brandon that she is meeting someone. A powerful looking guy approaches and tells Brandon to relax. That the rules can be bent for one night. Harvey nods and moves away as Harvey sits down next to Lisa and Aaron (again real names crossed out rather obviously). Harvey looks at Lisa and says that she must be Penny. he introduces himself as Harvey and says he can see the family resemblance. Marcie (Lisa) says that Eric told her brother Ron that she could trust him. The nosy bartender pops in again very nervous that a cop may come in and see the kid in a bar but Harvey gets him quiet again and they all move to a corner booth to talk more privately. Scene ends.
OK kids it's time to head off on our weekly spoiler tour once again. Grab another Frappe or whatever it is you're having as we have lots here.....
