ABC Hotsheet:
KENDALL NEARLY KILLS SPIKE! NOW, IT'S TIME FOR GREENLEE TO PAY!
Spike has a serious allergic reaction and nearly dies. Doctors manage to save him and inform Kendall that it was Dr. Hilliard's "vitamins" that put Spike's life in danger. Kendall feels terribly guilty after almost killing her son, but when Erica tells her that it was Greenlee who connected her to Hilliard, her guilt turns into anger. Kendall shows up at Greenlee's front door and comes face to face with the "best friend" who destroyed her life. And, Ryan pays a visit to Annie's brother in prison and gets a word of warning about his wife!
Scoops From Lynda Hirsch:
ALL MY CHILDREN: Kendall thinks a miracle has happened when she believes Spike reacted to a loud noise and can hear again. Zach summons Dr. Norton, who determines Spike suffered an allergic reaction and saves his life when he stops breathing. J.R. tries to convince Adam to join his new business venture centering on Ava. Adam dismisses J.R.'s idea and berates him, as he says J.R. will never amount to anything. Greenlee and Aidan set out on a mission to discover the story behind the locket she found, unaware that it belongs to Annie. Tad and the others at the Comeback are sobered on the anniversary of 9-11. Ryan asks Aidan to watch out for Annie while he goes to pay her brother a visit in prison. Aidan inadvertently hurts Zach. Ryan learns that Ritchie was released from prison months ago and questions Dr. Hadley, the prison psychologist. Dr. Hadley is clearly on Ritchie's side and casts doubt on Ryan's belief that Annie is being terrorized by her brother, whom he claims is really the victim here.
SNEAK PEEK: Ritchie is on the loose.
Article On Cameron Mathison's new "Dancing With The Stars" gig from Carolyn Hinsey at The New York Daly News:
All My Children's Cameron Mathison (Ryan) isn't just doing double duty with his new gig on "Dancing With the Stars," he's also juggling his third job as host of SOAPnet's "I Wanna Be a Soap Star."
"I'm just going to add hours to the end of each day and hope everybody else will just come along with me," says the affable actor/host and now dancer.
His upcoming schedule would kill lesser men.
"I am going to do three days a week in New York - Wednesday through Friday - at 'All My Kids,'" he says. "They have been really, really amazing about working this out. Then I will fly off Friday night. Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I am in L.A. doing 'Dancing.' After the live show Tuesday night, I'll catch the red-eye back to New York and start again."
If Mathison makes it to the fourth week on "Dancing," that's when things will get really interesting: He'll have to be on two live shows at the same time.
"From what I understand," says Mathison, "I will do the live results show on 'Dancing,' and then I'll be taken by either limo or helicopter - however they can make it the most dramatic - to host the live finale of 'Soap Star.'" That's on Oct. 16.
Whew!
If that isn't enough, Mathison has to squeeze in his wife, Vanessa, and their two little kids.
"The family's going to be in New York, and Vanessa is going to come out with me as much as she can," he says. "My mom and dad are going to be spending a little more time in New York, and we have June [the family's nanny]. My No. 1 anxiety about this is - believe it or not - not the schedule but the fact that I am not going to see my kids that much. I am a very involved dad, so that is a hard one to swallow."
His "AMC" character, Ryan, has a hard one to swallow today, too, when his wife, Annie, reveals she has been hiding a big secret from him.
"The secret is that her brother is the one that has been harassing her," says Mathison. "And the history of her brother is that he is a very dangerous guy and nobody knows it. Throughout her childhood, he would charm people and win them over. Meanwhile, Annie was the only one who knew this guy was pure evil and doing horrible things."
Annie's parents didn't believe her, so she lied that he committed a crime to get him some help.
"Her brother may have done it, but she definitely didn't witness the crime. She went on the stand anyway to get this guy into a mental hospital. But that's not what happened. He went straight to prison and then her mother committed suicide - and her father blames Annie for that."
Worse?
"She doesn't know her brother is out of prison," says Mathison.
Is Ryan keeping any secrets from Annie?
"Annie has no idea that Ryan is a wanna-be ballroom dancer," responds Mathison with a laugh. "He's a closet ballroom dancer, and that's just not something he's comfortable sharing with Annie."
Fall Preview Tidbits courtesy of SoapOperaDigest:
ALL MY CHILDREN's new head writers, Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown, gave Weekly a sneak preview of love and war to come this fall in Pine Valley.
Weekly: Given that Kathy/Kate's adoption papers are somewhere under Adam's desk, can we expect him to play heavily into Tad and Julia's storyline this fall?
James Harmon Brown: He has the worst housekeeper in the world, because they are under a desk or under a couch or something. So we have to assume that he found them at some point. It will create a dilemma for all the characters in that story: Adam, Tad, Krystal and by extension, Julia, Kathy and Colby. All of those people are going to have large emotional stakes in this; the Adam/Krystal relationship and Krystal/Tad relationship. It's a moral dilemma that's going to be facing Adam.
Weekly: Will this storyline have the potential to spark a romance between Julia and Tad?
Brown: Julia is going to become closer and closer with Tad, and become a part of that extended family of Krystal, Colby and Tad and the kids.
Weekly: What's on the horizon for Krystal and Adam's relationship?
Barbara Esensten: Because Adam did such despicable things to Krystal, it's not going to be easy for them to get back together. One of the ways that Adam can get close to Krystal is by becoming Stuart, which is always so fun to watch. It's kind of a sweet love story of reconnecting this couple.
Weekly: How will Spike's condition and Ian's premature birth affect Zach and Kendall as a couple?
Brown: Kendall had two children who were injured. [That has caused] an ongoing push/pull with her throughout [this story].
Esensten: We know that Zach is going to have a major plan in mind to help Kendall through this. He is not without emotion, and he can get pissed at her, but their love is so strong that eventually he is going to figure out a way to fix this, the best way that he can.
Weekly: Will Hannah's return be yet another bump in the road for Zach and Kendall?
Esensten: When Hannah left and Zach was out on the terrace, we had no idea: Did he or didn't he? Is she pregnant? Did he do it? Or did he do it and it didn't work, or didn't he do it? Obviously, whatever happened that night is going to affect his relationship with Kendall.
Weekly: How will Zach react when he discovers that Aidan and Greenlee are developing a relationship after he hired Aidan to keep her away?
Brown: It will cause problems with both Zach and Ryan. Neither one of them at this juncture wants Greenlee to be in town.
Esensten: You have two powerful men that really want this woman gone, and that tends to make the hero quality in Aidan come out, and be more defensive. Perhaps if she wasn't the “hated” one, their relationship might not have developed the way it's beginning to, because he has to be a little protective of her.
