BABE'S NEW LOVE INTEREST IS ANNIE'S WORST NIGHTMARE!
Annie is called to identify the dead body of a robber matching Ritchie's description. It turns out that the man who attacked Babe and Wes isn't her brother. Annie's at her limit and isn't going to take anymore. She wants to confront Ritchie, but Ryan convinces her to go away with him instead. Aidan meanwhile is doing his own investigation, calls the last incoming call on the robber's cell phone -- and it's Annie's number! He also finds a photo in the cell phone that he suspects to be Ritchie. He sends it to Annie who recognizes it as her brother Ritchie -- who's also Wes the bartender, and he's on a date with Babe! Is Babe safe?

AMC Recast Controversy...
While Alexa Havins & Amanda Baker filmed the scene where Alexa's Babe hugged Krystal & Amanda's Babe emerged from the hug, both actresses were professional, but castmates still found it wierd. So wierd that higher-ups stepped in to quell the cast's misgivings.
AMC Plot Preview:
The mystery surrounding Annie's brother deepens this week. The robber turns up at the morgue & he's NOT Ritchie. Ryan takes Annie on an island vacation & Aidan e-mails a picture of Ritchie. It's Wes! Esenstan says that Wes is a character we're going to see a lot of.
Editor's Choice:
Tad's birthday party...from the guests (especially Ruth & Opal) to the videotaped greetings from Jamie to the normal moments - Ian & Spike's family showing pictures that were on their phones...to Julia & Babe acknowledging that they'd miss Jamie, as real ex-girlfriends might - the party was everything Tad could have hoped for.

AMC took a break from its usual formula of sick & kidnapped children, barely alive preemies, & marital shouting matches & allowed a host of other characters to get screentime.

Week of 9/24...
Ryan wants Annie to get a gun.
Kendall has a breakthrough.
Adam & Krystal can barely hide the attraction they feel for each other.
JR can't take his eyes off Ava.
Wes & Babe go on a date.

Next Week:
Week of 10/1...

Kendall refuses to give up her revenge plot.
Ryan & Annie are desperate to find Babe & Emma.
Public Opinion:
Enough Kendall kowtowing!
Is this Ryan propping & Kendall groveling on AMC ever going to stop? I do not want to see Kendall apologizing ever to that self-righteous, bullying hypocrite. Her whole history with him is nothing but abuse & disrespect on his part. To have a spirited, self-confident, smart & fiery Kendall brought to her knees before this useless con man is an insult to the character as well as to viewers.
A nice article from BuddyTV.Com:
'All My Children' Head Writers Say Adam Will Face Moral Dilemma
Those who avidly follow the ABC soap All My Children know that Julia's (Sydney Penny) adopted daughter, Kathy, (Alexa Girasimovich) is actually Kate, the long-lost daughter of Tad Martin [Michael E. Knight] and the deceased Dixie Cooney. However, because Kathy/Kate's adoption papers are in Adam's (David Canary) possession, it will not be long before the secret is revealed, and according to head writers Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown, the revelation will have a significant effect on the relationships of the characters involved in the storyline.
“It will create a dilemma for all the characters in that story: Adam, Tad, Krystal [Bobbie Eakes] and by extension, Julia, Kathy and Colby [Ambyr Childers],” Brown told Soap Opera Weekly. “All of those people are going to have large emotional stakes in this; the Adam/Krystal relationship and Krystal/Tad relationship. It's a moral dilemma that's going to be facing Adam.”
Brown also said the story of Kathy/Kate will bring foster a new closeness between Julia and Tad.
“Julia is going to become closer and closer with Tad, and become a part of that extended family of Krystal, Colby and Tad and the kids,” he told Soap Opera Weekly.
On the other hand, Esensten remarked that the future does not look too bright for Adam and Krystal, who are now separated but still legally married.
“Because Adam did such despicable things to Krystal, it's not going to be easy for them to get back together,” Esensten said. “One of the ways that Adam can get close to Krystal is by becoming [his identical twin] Stuart, which is always so fun to watch. It's kind of a sweet love story of reconnecting this couple.
Outside of the Kathy/Kate storyline, the All My Children head writers said complications will arise for Zach (Thorsten Kaye) and Ryan (Cameron Mathison) when they learn of Greenlee's (Sabine Singh) budding romance with Aidan (Aiden Turner), the man Zach hired to keep Greenlee away.
“[Greenlee and Aidan's relationship] cause problems with both Zach and Ryan. Neither one of them at this juncture wants Greenlee to be in town,” Brown said.
Esensten added, “You have two powerful men that really want this woman gone, and that tends to make the hero quality in Aidan come out and be more defensive. Perhaps if she wasn't the hated one, their relationship might not have developed the way it's beginning to, because he has to be a little protective of her.”
All My Children airs weekdays on ABC.
