THE VERDICT IS IN! WHO GETS CUSTODY OF TOMMY?
Todd brings Blair to the custody hearing and announces her as his wife. Blair is called to testify and portrays Todd as a good guy. Michael takes the stand and is asked when he found out that Tommy was Todd's son. He lies and testifies that he found out along with the rest of Llanview. Marcie visits Lindsay, who tells her she learned about Tommy when she overheard Michael and Rex talking about it. A furious Marcie confronts Michael and tells him that if they lose Tommy it's all his fault. Then, the judge makes a decision...
Scoops from Lynda Hirsch:
ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Blair backs up Todd's claim that they married out of love but finds herself on the hot seat when Judy begins to question her. On the witness stand, Starr gives a heartfelt plea as to how great her parents are, but Judy is quick to point out the flaws in their family. Will runs into Addie when he goes to St. Ann's to visit Lindsay, who remains unresponsive. Nora wonders if Lindsay could be faking her breakdown. Lindsay seems to recognize Bo when he and Nora visit her at St. Ann's. Langston becomes defensive when Markko questions her about her absentee parents. Michael perjures himself on the witness stand when he testifies he didn't know Tommy was Todd's son until recently. Marcie learns that Michael knew about Tommy's parentage for a very long time. John and Marty kiss and continue to grow closer. Dorian realizes Langston is living alone. Miles tells Natalie that she's taught him what true friendship is all about.

SOD tidbits from "Between Heaven & Hell"
Who's coming from SOD:
Brian Kerwin: Charlie: Will cross paths with Viki. Pops up in late October.
Record this: 10/8: Dorian tells Langston that she knows the truth about her parents.
10/9: Sarah proves herself to Cristian when a big-name talent performs at Capricorn.
Marcie learns Michael's Secret: M/M have fought tooth and nail to against Todd to keep Tommy, but this week, a secret comes out that might destroy their marriage.
Having already lied to Marcie by pretending he only learned about Tommy's identity when she did, Michael perjures himself in court by testifying he only recently learned that Tommy is Todd's son. And Marcie hears the truth from someone else who is close to her.
Marcie goes to confront her husband just as they receive word that the judge has made a decision, "Marcie and Michael can just scream at each other and two seconds later, it's o.k.," says KB. "But this'll be the first time that it's not okay, that she'll feel really, really betrayed by him."
Rumors from Daytime Dish via "Between Heaven And Hell" (please keep in mind I am merely passing these on). Thanks to Tara for sending these to me. You're a doll!:
Lindsay is off to St. Anne's to play possum. She will be back. Lindsay pines for Bo, Bo pines for Lindsay, Nora pines for Bo but refuses to admit it, everybody pines. I will not tell you her secret for next week.
Viki's new beau Charlie is connected to Gigi. He's a man who didn't always come from humble surroundings and he has a back story. They don't quite hit it off right away but Gigi changes Viki's way of doing things and make Dorian and Clint crazy. Charlie follows them back to Llanview because he is curious about who the "real" Viki is.
Tina is being delayed. Frons is skittish about another character from that age range. That may be why AMC got to bring back Hannah. They didn't want OLTL to have Stacy Haiduk and Frons did not want them to have Tina. In the meantime Cristian wants Sarah, Sarah wants Cristian, Rex is in mourning and needs a blonde friend, and Gigi is in all their business.
Sorry, who do you mean, who is being recast? I'm a little perplexed on the question...
ME's exit is scheduled to air very late in November like I said before. It could go one or two days in December depending on how long it takes but I don't know.
On Bo and Nora I don't know much of that actor gossip stuff, sorry. They are dancing around it again right now but I think the last time it didn't happen was because they weren't a priority for Frons or the writers.
Asa's will names David and has a few other surprises.
Like I said, John leaves after soul searching about his life and seeing himself in Lee Ramsey. He talks to Marty, his family and friends and "his father" and comes to the decision to take a different direction in his life.
So who do the surprises in Asa's will affect?
Natalie, Clint, Jared, Nora, Bo, Matthew, Sarah, and David of course. Sarah gets what she wants but has to decide if she wants it. Clint feels betrayed. Natalie is intimidated and has to solve a mystery with Jared on her heels. Nora feels claustrophobic.
Kathy Brier is not leaving as far as I know, Marcie has plenty of story at the moment. Marcie heads for New Orleans and meets some hard luck people and will eventually meet someone who is a shoulder to cry on. KB could always leave when Marcie comes home and the story ends, but right now not yet.
What I think I said was that CC will be here into December or even close to the end of the year. I do not believe she has any chance of airing into 2008. It's possible they could have moved up her exit, but so much of the story of John's exit is tied into interaction with Marty that they can't let her go much earlier, and I don't think they would let her leave anywhere near the same time as him in fear of having anyone steal the thunder of "the great McBain".
I've answered the Kevin question before and I think I said Max may very well air in early 08 because of plans for the youth set. Alex will be seen soon though. No REG.
If Bree has changed her mind it's news to me because I was told they had convinced her to stay. As far as I know she is staying. Maybe they tried to intimidate her by leaking a rumor about Erin Torpey. No other actress is in immediate danger that I know of, except maybe Catherine Hickland or Tika Sumpter, but they need both of them at the moment.
Okay, I'll give you five more minutes...
I don't think it has filmed yet from but what I hear Marcie comes home only because she fought the law and the law won. TPTB are aware of how strong the Marcie and Michael fanbase is and how important it is to KB and NM and they will be a couple to root for, but hard times are ahead and there will be some other people around. I don't know of any specific woman close to Michael though he has scenes with a lot of them pretty soon. I do know the show considers Marcie more important than Michael.
Look for a lot of name dropping by Jared of all of Asa's old enemies next month, not just the obvious ones. One of them figures into November sweeps even though the actual characters may not be seen onscreen.
David Chisum will be airing through sweeps. He is part of the story for Natalie and Jared (not the bad guy). Beyond that I don't know.
Hey yall. Addie will be back next month but Melinda is back as well in November. Just one day when all the older Cramer women will be seen for a shocking event.
Another poster had it right, Cole will be here until 2008. A lot of stories and characters got pushed back because of cleaning house. Brandon Buddy is a dud but he won't be replaced with some more old new youngsters until next year after his new story wraps.
Cole is not inspiring anyone. Still I wouldn't look for him to go until 2008. He has a story coming dealing with Patrick's past. That's part of the reason CC is leaving later. I think the story will really be dominated by Starr and Langston, the stronger actors.
They would love to keep David Chisum and will play with his relationship with Natalie but it's a difficult problem.
The story with John and Marty is they both teach each other how to move on with their lives.
John will leave before Marty. She will be on into Dec.
When I say setup I mean everything dealing with Lee and some bad events that unfold after Marcie hits the road. John starts talking about his future. After a certain point in taping everything filmed will trend towards his leaving. They will not make that go onscreen until there's no point of return.
Yes, we will see some of what Viki has been doing and she will talk about it.
They are putting John's exit scenes off as much as they can. A lot of the buildup has been shot.
David is named in the will.
Yes, Todd is involved. He doesn't kill her or anything but the circumstances lead to her death. Dorian says he stopped breathing when she did.
A lot of insight and discussion with Marty, Lee, Bo, Michael lead to John deciding to leave. And yes, "Ghost Dad". One more time!! John doesn't want to end up like Lee. Meanwhile Nora doesn't think Lee is so far gone. (i think this is about adri dying?)
They are putting off putting the final scenes to tape in the hopes that they can reach an agreement with ME. Frons is anyway.
Nora will be involved with all the police cases. RC loves showing her as DA.
NORA is clueless about Nora's feelings. It's a lot of her denying to people that she cares. Right now, Bo is focused on work and Lindsay. Eventually Clint asks him why he cares so much.
Clint is going to get chewed up by his family and by Viki when she gets back. A lot of call-outs in the writing from what the audience has been saying. You saw that in the custody trial scenes too when the McBains lawyer grilled Todd. Jared puts him down too.
Natalie and John share some nice scenes very soon but it's mostly to put them to rest and make John look better for the way he treated her. He also expresses concern about Jared.
John isn't supposed to leave until the end of November. He does have some more scenes with Natalie about Jared and I'm sure they will have a final goodbye during sweeps. But he is mostly wrapped up in Marty and the Tommy case.
Don't quote me but I think John is supposed to be headed west.
Fun fact, Dena's outline had evil Miles drugging and seducing Natalie and knocking her up.
Lee's appearance shakes John, but he doesn't make all the connections to himself without help from Marty and his family and friends.
If for some reason ME stays what do you see planned for the character of John.
Your guess is as good as mine right now dude. I think some people would rather gnaw their own arms off than write more for John and Marty.
FV in the hot seat? You might ask why JFP has never been replaced at GH. The hotseat at GH is always between Frons and Guza, trying to shift blame...never the EP.
David's scenes are spread to November so for all I know there are probably some with Viki.
I think the rationale for going after Stacy Haiduk was that she had already played the mom to James Scott, who is older than the actress playing Sarah.
Charlie is supposed to make Clint jealous. Yes, I think it will develop into a quad. And Dorian has real hard times coming.
I think with characters like Kevin and Tina it's the same problem there was with getting airtime for Viki or Lindsay or Nora or Roxy. Just getting that was a big step, but now a lot of people worry if it will pay off, if they are skewing too old for ABC. So then they have to be slowly convinced that another character from the past will work... Frons is not a evil man. He loves some of the old stories with Andrea Evans. Sometimes he has to be "trained" too. He admitted he made mistakes about AMC. People have to constantly say that they like it and that it will work.
RC loves most of the veterans, especially Viki, Dorian, Nora and Lindsay. He really likes RSW. TDS too. He did some of the material for the Gannons when he started. But it's all baby steps.
Nora has story with Lee and Bo and Lindsay. And her work.
Whoo I am getting behind....
I think Brian Kerwin is recurring right now. But so were Langston and Evangeline. It may be a salary or availability issue.
Sorry, but I don't know what CHERI is. They have responded to pressure from fans after the Dena/Erika S. flap though. BF loosened up on some of RC's favorite characters.
You can ask me about Lindsay a million different ways but there is only so much I know.
I think the rationale for going after Stacy Haiduk was that she had already played the mom to James Scott, who is older than the actress playing Sarah.
Charlie is supposed to make Clint jealous. Yes, I think it will develop into a quad. And Dorian has real hard times coming.
I know Lindsay goes to St. Anne's. I know she makes friends. I know she is gone for awhile but eventually is supposed to slip up.
Is there a third choice? Maybe a little of both. At one point the character was supposed to have a Bronx sort of accent but if you have ever Farah Fath's voice....no.
Is Roxy really getting a love interest?
Yes, she is! I don't know about that though.
Does Natalie and Jared become a couple?
Sure looks like it during sweeps. But don't look for it to be made official this year.
Nat is definitely more mature than Jared. But in some ways he's more mature than her. He puts BOTH their lives in danger, not just hers.
What I mean is, they get romantic during their crisis, but refuse to acknowledge it afterwards.
Any chance that we might see REG back?
Not likely.
Lindsay will eventually be exposed, but not yet. Patience.
Jared is not working with anyone, yet. What he gets into sets up what he and Natalie have to face together in sweeps.
John leaves alone.
I could not tell you Lindsey's whole future because I don't know it. I know up to a certain point.
They do realize Viki is gone, soon. They try to look for her but Viki doesn't want to be found.
what was the real reason DG was fired?
I would not know the reasons he was fired.
Also there is disinformation on this part of the board just like GH.
Any chance that Michael E will stay or say return in a few months
Always a chance.
Jared's past has a connection to the Buchanans but he is not another secret relative. He isn't Max Holden again either. He is driven but he has limits. What he does endangers him and Natalie in a few months.
Lee comes on to hunt down Marcie and Tommy. He stays for something else which is just starting to come together.
They romanced Bree and she is staying.
Lindsay is off to St. Anne's to play possum. She will be back. Lindsay pines for Bo, Bo pines for Lindsay, Nora pines for Bo but refuses to admit it, everybody pines. I will not tell you her secret for next week.
A joint arrangement is reached for Tommy. There's a false start but that's how it ends up. Todd won't settle for that though and goes outside the law, so so does Marcie. He seals Blair's loyalty in the sack. After what happens in November she is close to a nervous breakdown.
They will wait to go public about ME until the very last minute. In part because BF still wants to keep him.
So ME is definitely leaving, but BF wants to keep him? Does that mean they're still working with him to get him to stay?
They would like to but RC has scripted an exit and is setting it all up.
Does Gigi change Viki's look/style or is it her behavior (getting her to loosen up)?
Little of both. No Harleys though.
Blair or Marcie is close to a nervous breakdown......Blair.
Is that why Marcie goes on the run? Because the judge awards them something along the same lines as joint custody with Todd?
No, she does that because Todd defies the agreement and takes drastic measures against the McBains. Also she can't trust Michael anymore.
Does her going on the run cost her permanent custody of Tommy?
Don't know yet.
KB and NM are not out yet.
MG is leaving by choice, CC is not. I thought TT was fired but he keeps on taping like a bad penny. ***(THIS WAS POSTED BEFORE CC'S FIRING WAS CONFIRMED AT SON)
Viki has stayed on the move and doesn't really stop until she catches Gigi's eye.
Recast John? Uh, no.
They do want to keep Hunt and you will definitely see Lee with Nora.
SOD interview with John Brotherton (Jared Banks)courtesy of Dale at Soapzone:
Introducing John Brotherton
By Lauren Flynn
While viewers still don't know what's up with new guy Jared on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, Soap Opera Digest demystifies portrayer John Brotherton as best we can.
Digest: You seemed to easily come into the fold.
Brotherton: Thank you. To tell you the truth, everyone here has been very welcoming.
Digest:Who were the first people you worked with?
Brotherton: The first day I worked was the poker game, so Forbes [March, Nash] was essentially the first guy that I sat down and b.s.'d with, which was great because he sort of showed me all the tricks of the trade, gave me the tour and the whole nine, so he was super cool and we hit it right off. Then I worked with Melissa [Archer, Natalie], who is about the sweetest person on the planet. When you're the new kid, you don't know if you're going to run into egos, but ... none of that [here]! It was very cool. I work with some very cool people.
Digest: So how's it going, aside from everyone being so friendly?
Brotherton: It is an absolute blast. I love going to work. I feel lucky because I'm paying my bills and doing what I love to do. It doesn't get any better than that. I'm having fun.
Digest: What were you told about the character going in?
Brotherton: I'll never forget the audition because my agent told me to think Sawyer from LOST. So I had to grow my scruff out because usually I didn't have scruff, and now I have scruff 24/7. And they wanted sexy and charming, but also edgy. I was like, "Cool!" Most of the parts I go out on I'm, like, Mr. All-American. Shave me and I look like a little boy from next door. So this was fun because there was some meat there. Having a juicy character is what we crave as actors. I'm not just playing myself.
Digest: Fans are already writing in about your chemistry with Melissa Archer. How is working with Melissa?
Brotherton: She is the best! She's talented and she cares. She cares about her work and the people she works with. She's a joy to work with. I feel lucky to be surrounded by so many good people.
Digest: So have you joined John-Paul Lavoisier's (Rex) poker games yet?
Brotherton: [Laughs] I haven't, but I definitely am going to. I haven't actually worked with him yet, but I've met him in passing a few times and he's a great guy, and I definitely want to join in there.
Digest: Are you a poker player in real life?
Brotherton: I've played my fair share of cards, especially in college. My senior year, I lived with eight guys in this big house and we had a table in our living room and there was kind of like a 24-hour game going on, whether we were there or not. It wasn't crazy stakes, but people were taking their book money or their utility bill money that they got from their parents [laughs].
Digest: Where did you go to college?
Brotherton: I went to Oregon State [University] in Corvallis, Oregon, which was a great school.
Digest: So what were you doing before OLTL?
Brotherton: Before ONE LIFE, I was in L.A. After I graduated college, I packed my car and moved to L.A. and started in. You know, it was your classic "show up and find a way to make it happen." And I was there for four years, working odd jobs, getting acting work when I could. I loved L.A. Then you go on another audition and the next thing you know.... The whole thing was completely overnight. I came out here to test and then finally when we found out, I had five days to fly back, pack my bags and start work.
Digest: It seems that's always the way!
Brotherton: You know, as crazy as it is in the moment, I wouldn't want it any other way. The whole thing's been neat. I got engaged in the whole swing of things.
Digest: Congratulations! Who's the lucky lady?
Brotherton: Her name is Alison Raimondi. She's an actress and had a little career going [in L.A.], but she was like, "No, I'll come with you," because I wanted her to come with me, obviously. She's from here originally.
Digest: Is she looking for work in New York?
Brotherton: Yeah, it's hard because you kind of have to start over. She had a good year last year. She had a part in the movie Employee of the Month and she did a couple spots on TV.
Digest: You actually wrote and directed a short film, Smith and Mike on a Tuesday, which starred the two of you. What can you tell us about that?
Brotherton: That's my baby right now. I've been on the festival circuit with it. Last year, my buddy Rand Holdren and I wanted to do something creative and started with a page of dialogue, and the next thing we knew, we had this script and got all these people involved that worked for nothing — I mean, we did it for $2,600! We shot on HD [high definition]. It was the Canon HDX2, an incredible camera. We had this friend at Morgan Creek, the production company, who sort of just said, "Take it and return it in one piece." We got really lucky. Our sound guy was a two-time Emmy winner who I'd met on a different film set. Basically, we told everyone we'd feed 'em and we'd have fun.
Digest: And it's still on the festival circuit?
Brotherton: Yes. Hoboken Film Festival was the first festival we applied for and we got in and got nominated. We didn't win — one of the locals won — but that's all right. Then we went back and did one in L.A. and then we have [one in] Santa Barbara coming up. People are responding really well to it. We have a couple names in it: Brian Baumgartner, who's on THE OFFICE, and Jimmy Madio, who was in Hook and BAND OF BROTHERS, that HBO series, and he played Leonardo DiCaprio's best friend in The Basketball Diaries. It was just a really special deal.
