You guys, i just really really Love Erin! I have loved her these past few days! She was great with Jonathan. I could really see the concern, and the depth in her character. And it was so sad when she got tears in her eyes after leaving the hospital room when Jonathan was lying to lily. And then i loved her at Fusion today. I love how she can be sympathetic, and caring towards Babe; but turn around on her and be on kendall's side with conviction at the same time. I see a lot of depth in this character, and i think they could really build her up. I'm excited about her upcoming triangle with Jamal and Aiden. Plus, i just really REALLY love Connie!!!!!

I wasn't very impressed with her lecturing about protecting a supposed abuser the day after Jonathan reminded everyone of what Erin did for him. Um, pot calling kettle black, anyone?

I haven't seen today's show yet but I agree Flail - Connie is great when she gets some good stuff in the script and I want to see more of her.
The scene with Aidan and Erin and the broken down car was cheesy, but they made it cute. I'd like to see different things like that from them... anything from fun and casual to heartwrenching to downright fierce.

I loved Erin's scenes today because I could understand that for her character "Babe bad" "Kendall Good" was to black and white. I think maybe some of her sympathy for Babe comes from understanding how it feels to want to protect someone who you love but who has hurt others very badly. I think on some level she gets Babe wanting to protect JR because if Jr is an alcoholic and alcoholism is a sickness then he did what the did while "ill." Jonathan did some pretty awful things while he was ill and Erin protected him. I'm not sure if it's fair of me to compare Jonathan's brain tumor with Jr's drinking but I do think that for some people alcohol "highjacks" their free will. It doesn't mean that they shouldn't have to face the consequences of their actions but it also doesn't mean that their illness isn't legitimate. Oh, heck, I don't think this is coming across the way I meant it to. This is just a round about way of me saying that (poster starts praying for forgiveness) I thought what Babe said to Kendall today about Kendall having different rules for herself then she does for others was dead on. And I also thought it was legitimate for her to compare Kendall forgiving Zach with her forgiving JR. Granted, the severity of the crimes may not be equal, but both pretty much sucked eggs. COMPLETELY SHALLOW AND IMMATURE CONCLUSION TO THIS WAY TOO LONG POST: Oh, and JR is way hotter than Zach so in a way Babe is smarter than Kendall 'cause at least she forgave a hottie. ;D

I get what you're saying LL. And I thought Babe had a point when she said both JR and Zack have done unforgiveable things that directly affected the woman they love, and that by Kendall forgiving and marrying Zack she'd be a hypocrite to judge Babe for doing the same.
I also thought Kendall's excuse for Zack was weak when she said the difference is that Zack did it out of love. BS. Zack wasn't doing any of that out of love.
But back to Erin... I think Erin has been so affected by her childhood of abuse in the household that even in situations where she can't forgive someone's actions, she feels empathy for battered women. And in a way, she feels like the only reason that makes sense to her about Babe and JR is that Babe is in some way being manipulated by JR. So, she's out to "save" her now.
I wonder if they'll ever build a set for the Miranda Center? Wouldn't it make more sense to introduce Annie there rather than living with Ryan?

Yeah, Erin I think just wants to make peace. That's what she's tried to do her whole life. That would be a hard habit to break and I'm not sure one she should try to break. Although I didn't grow up in an abusive home I am the youngest of 5 kids and I find myself in that "peacemaker" situation sometimes. I don't like for any of my sibs to be mad at each other. It bothers me. A lot. As for Babe, while she's not my favorite character I do find myself preferring her over Kendall because Kendall is just so damn bitchy. Bitchy in the way that all the mean girls were in jr high and high school. I hated those bitches then and I want to like Kendall (loved the scenes with her and Ryan the other day when she woke up just after he said he loved her) but then she pisses me off again and reminds me that I don't like people like her all that much. Why can't she be more like she was with Ryan the other day. Funny and kind. Alicia did those scenes well---why can't Spike's birth be a transformative event for Kendall. Make her kinder. I don't mean whimpy, I mean kind. There is a difference. Oh, and I didn't know that there wasn't a set for the Miranda center. I just figured they hadn't shown it since I started watching last fall. They'll have to build one now, won't they?

Maybe not. They reference the Miranda Center often and at first they had a small construction type site for it when Bianca was still a regular and they were building it. But I dont' believe they have ever shown it since it has been finished.

I'm amused how everyone assumes JR is manipulating Babe into forgiving him etc. When the truth is, Babe is just a dolt who loves him in her own weird way. LOL. JR didn't do anything to Babe to make her lie for him. He argued with her about it in fact.
But anyway, Erin SHOULD have issues with abuse and stuff (as in, she can't tolerate it due to her childhood) but it already contradicts itself because she helped Jonathan and preached for everyone's "understanding" for him. That's why I can't take Erin seriously.

i just got to friday's episode. kendell was amazing - putting zach on the throne like she does. blah i see as erin being pulled. yes - what about jonathan before they found out about the tumor?? jr has soo many issues but he is behind a huge list of people who should be in prison including kendell's mom!! i will say i did like it when jr came in as babe was holding her own and the look on kendells face when she found out about dixie ;D ;D ;D ;D erin seems to be trying to be the helper. yes babe, what you did was wrong but was it your fault? are you abused? i didn't see her as totally against babe. the body language of standing behind babe - she wants to help this abused misguided soul. which we know is way too funny. but she wants babe to take responsibility for her actions which is a result of force. ahhh - but this too will pass. i really can't wait to see what happens - i have to look forward to something because i'm watching the whole hour of the show until flail gets back. soo if there is anything exciting we skip over i'll let you know!!!!!!!!
