hey - what is the law on this. not jonathan of course but terri. what he is doing is sooo wrong but lily is 18. but he likes girls. underage but i assume virgins he can scare and control. to me (and no offense to our younger posters because you know i have a lot of respect for you) but as a mom they are kids. legally is that still being a pedophile??? As far as I know, Terry hasn't committed a crime yet. Lily is a legal adult -- she's 18. So he doesn't even fall into the category of soliciting a minor online (a very popular offense now in light of the To Catch a Predator thing on Dateline). To be quite honest with you I haven't been following the Terry/Lily s/l very much because, frankly it makes me want to hurl. It's so LAME, I can barely stand it. Texas has an offense called Injury to a child, elderly individual or disabled individual. A disabled individual is defined by TX law as means a person older than 14 years of age who by reason of age or physical or mental disease, defect, or injury is substantially unable to protect himself from harm or to provide food, shelter, or medical care for himself. Lily would not fall under that definition as she is portrayed on the show. Also, injury to a disable person would require some kind of bodily injury. So Terry is guilty of being a weirdo right now. And Amy, I agree McT should have all her characters taken away from them because she runs them into the ground! ETA: that is probably more than anyone EVER wanted to know about the law...so I will spare everyone further discussion of the Texas criminal justice system. ;D

Kelley, I love finding this sorta stuff out. I think it comes from watching too many years of Law and Order. I don't suppose there's a law against reading out loud everything you are typing/reading? ;D If there is, I say we throw the book at both Lily and Terry. ;D

Remember Charity, if you continue to behave yourself that charge will be expunged from your record and you'll be able to start over with a clean slate. You'll have your "second chance."

I think the best way to stalk someone and not get caught is to never go near them, never call them, never write to them or try and contact them in any way. In short, to never acknowledge, even to yourself, that the person you are stalking exists. It's worked for Cam---he's been stalking me for years! ;D
