I think his judgment and comments about Tad and Dixie being parents was out of line. He doesn't know Tad and Dixie, and he also doesn't have a stellar past, either. He really isn't in any position to judge. I do understand why he feels the way he does, but still. What do you guys think???

Just as you, I love Jonathan, but he did come on a little strong. I realize he wants to protect Annie and Emma, but he was not being fair to Tad & Dixie. He may not know Dixie, but he has been around Tad for a while now. Tad even stood up for Jon a few times during the Janet fiasco. Even Erin seemed a bit shocked, as she tried to reason with Jon about the situation. I don't think Jon has a real handle on his emotions yet, since he was healed. He tends to get carried away. He is way too quick to be "in your face" angry when he feels that someone he cares for is being done wrong. I guess he is still scarred by the fact that he did not have anyone sticking up for him as he was growing up , and he feels he is helping his friends by defending them. He needs to be able to handle these situations more like Ryan, who keeps his cool. Another reason a s/l involving therapy would be so great! I am so hoping TIIC come up with at s/l like this!

Yep, I totally agree with everything you said, and I DO think therapy is needed for Jon. He really could use it after all he's gone through.

I think he's also judging Dixie as a parent by how JR turned out... not the most stellar of recommendations

IA - this needs to be settled and it's not as if annie didn't carry her and deliver as her child. a little investigating work will prove that. she did deliver.
jon was out of line because they never had him deal with his childhood or his more "recent" murders. he has mentioned twice with an excited face - how would their lives be if they had a mother like annie - one who loves and cares for their child. he said it once to ryan and once to erin. i think his brain is so stuck on his horrible childhood that all he can see is emma and how happy emma is. fat chance but maybe the are slowly starting to deal with jon's problems. his childhood and his brain tumor violence. they've been dropping hints.
so yes - i think he is out of line but emma's happiness is blinding him.

didn't the nurse state she was there for Annie's delivery and delivered Emma... shouldn't that settle things?

I didn't like Jon's comments about Tad and Dixie either - but I understand them. Putting myself in Jon's place, I think he is trying to protect a child in the way that he wasn't. If he can't save himself from his childhood, maybe he thinks he can salvage another's. It's a valiant, but misguided effort b/c he cannot save himself by saving another.
A therapy s/l is badly needed here. And I hope they are leading up to it with all the recent comments - by Jon, Ryan and Erin. Jon even told Amanad that he hadn't really dealt with the [ast coupla months. JB would truly rock those performances and probably leave me sobbing.
As much as I love Tad, I cannot fault Jon for his position. Every time I see those scenes, I see a lost, angry, hurt, and confused little boy that is trying to figure out how to deal with where he came from and where he's going. And I'm sure there is the guilt factor too. He did, after all, kill Emma's father - who was an abuser too. Like I said before, I think Jon looks at Emma and sees himself 20 years ago. It's a no win situation (unless for us if we get the therapy scenes).

she did carry "emma" she was pregnant and did deliver. which is why i believe that the real emma died and madden gave her kate. he mentioned 100 times in his "coffin" that dixie doesn't deserve kate. hence no dna match and one stupid looking college lip having confused women.
