SOD: Ending months of speculation triggered by the imminent expiration of his contract and a marked lack of screen tome for his character. AMC is confirming that Branson will exit in the spring and "Jonathan Lavery will be written off". As for Branson's on-and-off leading lady Leven Rambin (Lily/Ava) whose AMC deal also expires in the spring, show rep insists, "Leven is not leaving." z7.invisionfree.com/DaytimeRoyalty/index.php?showtopic=7820I have mixed feelings. I'm so pissed that AMC treated Jeff so badly so I do want him to leave so he can go on to other things BUT I'm sad that we'll never get to see Jonathan written as he should have been.

Me four But on the upside, I read a quote in SOD from Jeff about him "itching to see what was out there" from the same article. It really made it seem as if it was his choice. Thank goodness for small favors. And if he'ss being written off, does that mean there is a possibilty of an exit scene?

I would assume so. I hope so. Thanks Priscilla!

Count me as #5... But, at least it seems as if Jeff made the decision--and wasn't 'given the boot', by AMC.
