I'm the same way Liz, didn't really even want kids until I was 27, then decided to wait a year before we started trying. The plan is to have one and see how I feel about having another later on. My sister told me that if I do decide to have another, wait until the first one is potty trained! LOL!! That's good advice. I think it would be hard to have two in diapers and try to potty train the oldest. How did it work out, Elana??

Well it consenses the diapering years down quite a bit. And having the older one using the bathroom, but still considered a 'peer' made the younger really want to train. I didn't push the issue with either kid but my son was completely trained (day and night) by 2 1/2

Hmmm... good point on the "diaper years." Why prolong that wonderful task?
;D

That's what I'm hoping for. I just started talking about the toilet to him. When he turns two, I'll get him a little potty chair. Julia used hers for about a week, but was potty trained in two days. The night took a little longer, but not too much. I just put her in underwear, and it took 2 days for her to realize that she didn't like that feeling. I did use pull ups at night, just to save the hassle of changing the sheets in the middle of the night.
