that's my guess. We bought this house may 04 and there was some work he was 'going to get to' or call someone for that was going to get done before we moved in... then before the end of the year... then 'sometime'.

it must be easier. He puts off doing everything hoping I'll get fed up and do it myself. At least if you're single so expect to do it all

$$ sucks no matter how many people you have in your family. I was a stay at home mom most of the time. I'm frugal and find as many free samples online I can and enter lots of sweepstakes to win stuff for presents for the kids.

I use this site www.online-sweepstakes.com/its free to join, but if you like it there is a 'premium' option you can pay for with a few more bells and whistles. (or try to win a subscription, there are ways to do that too) I'm thedonutqueen101 there. It tells you all the rules so the sweeps and organizes them for you, and it has a link to download roboform which makes it easy to fill out forms. And in the forums there is a whole section dedicated to freebies. It'll take awhile for you to probably win anything decent, but I guarentee you'll start to get a few freebies in the mail within a few weeks. Nothing much, but free post-its, samples of shampoo, soap, sometimes coupons for free products. Everything helps!
