LL - So, have your read Augusten Burroughs? And if Jonathon penis chain links or whatever can be sent to TIIC, can we also include Cooter's? Just wondering Freaky, if you ARE Jeff Branson, my phone number is... oh nevermind. You NEVER return MY phone calls

I haven't read "Running with Scissors" yet. Whenever it checks in or out at work I think to myself "I've got to read this." I just haven't done it yet.

LL -
You really should read it. It's brutal but has great, twisted, dark humorous moments. I think you would find it a great read.

It's being made into a movie! I've got to read it before it comes out. I may want to see it and I hate seeing a movie before I've read the book. The only exception to that is the Jason Bourne books/movies. I haven't read the books and I don't want to because I know the character in the books is way different from Matt Damon's character and I happen to love Matt's Jason. Did that make any sense?

A hundred and sixty years ago I was totally addicted to Robert Ludlum (?) books. So by the time I saw the Bourne Identity with Matt Damon I had no memory of the story. I also drooled and spilled my popcorn, then I left the ladie's room with toilet paper on the bottom of my shoe. But the people I went to the movie with said I enjoyed it. DON'T see the movie before you read the book! It's a powerfully twisted memoir and I know that Gwenyth Paltrow is supposed to be in the movie. But I don't care. I ALWAYS like the books better. Except for The Firm. But I'm not a big Grisham fan, anyway. Plus I liked Ray Ray in the movie. And Holly Hunter and Gary Busey and Gene Hackman. For whatever THAT was worth

Trixie, I totally understand. About Matt, the tp on the shoe, and thinking the book is almost always better than the movie. I'm not a Grisham fan either. I 've only read "The Client" and I thought it was okay but not good enough to make me want to read more of his books. Have you ever read any of Val McDermid's books? I love her Tony Hill series and really love the "Wire in the Blood" television series based on the books. Robson Green does an amazing job of bringing the character to life. Robson may be balding and hairy but I still have the hots for him.
