AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS INVISIBLE?? i had to wake up early (tons of coffee today!!) and drop kallie off about 15 minutes away so he didn't have to deal with all the fair traffic around here. he doesn't know the area so he's clueless with shortcuts. 3 cars pulled out right in front of me where i had to brake pretty hard. then i ran to walmart to pick up a prescription. there are 2 super walmarts close to me and another one by a friends house. the greeters never ever say anything to me. and i always smile etc. i mean isn't it their job to say hi??? hell - i'd be happy at this point if they'd say anything!!! "welcome to walmart - your hair looks like crap" i'd be happy!!!!! i know customer service is dying out but they are freakin greeters. the only store real close to my house (if i just need milk or something) is sentry - so overpriced. last night we went and the lady checking us out didn't even look at us. she never told me how much the total was. no hi - no thank you. it's a wonder why i hate people!!!! - not you guys!!! so i have come to the conclusion that my loud junkie car, myself and kallie are all invisible!!!!!!

Charity! ;D No, you're not the only one. I had to laugh (and not AT you but WITH you) when I just saw that you posted this YESTERDAY! And no one responded . I, too am invisible many times. And also obviously mute, because even if I say something or ask something I get no response. It's like I'm some annoying gnat that they know is buzzing arounnd somewhere but they just can't quite locate it so they can smack the heck out of it. But don't feel bad. This happens to everyone except Madonna and Michael Jackson (and THAT is NOT necessarily a good thing). You're not invisible here. That is for darned sure! We really love you here

Plat - You're like 7" taller than me. Okay, truth be told, you're probably now 8" taller than me. You can't be invisible. Gawd forbid we were ever out in public together. I think I'd REALLY become invisible Charity - Same with you.

I LOVE it when I'm invisible!
I hate it when I'm at check out and the clerk starts talk about all kinds of stuff...like she adopted 7 dogs and all but one has died and that she keeps their ashes in an urn in her china cabinet and that the last one that died, died on her birthday...I said "Sorry to hear that!" over and over again but what I was really thinking was "I HAVE TO PEE! I want to go home! Just give me my damn doggy stickers! I thought that my niece would think they were cute and I only bought them because they were on sale."
Yesterday a guy, no lie, stopped by my beach blanket and started talking to my son and me. He was. "Hi! I have two daughters and they are really shy, That is them over there," turn wave "They have been watching you all afternoon..." he was talking about Brett "but they don't have the courage to talk to you so I said I would. Chelsea is a Junior in HS and she's an honor student and wants to become a teacher. (I forget the older sister's name) just finished her freshman year" (I forget the college) and is taking the next semester off before declaring her major and she's a lifeguard...blah blah blah...yada yada yada..."
CAN YOU IMAGINE? How weird was that? He was pitching his DAUGHTERS to my son! Not even just one! It was like 'you choose they are both pretty good'. They were both pretty but that was so odd and my son was totally creeped out.

Okay, remind me to call my Dad and thank him for never acting like that Dad on the beach. Oh, and the chatty cashier? I always get those people too. I also somehow manage to be the one at work who answers the phone when someone like that calls. But at least when you're on the phone you can roll your eyes and make faces at them.

I say embrace invisibility! For some reason people just want to tell me the wierdest personal stuff within the first 5 min of meeting them. The worst was when a woman told me my son was so handsome she made her heart go "pitter-patter" and then she fanned herself and giggled! No LIE! and uh... he was like 12! and she was the mother of one of his 'friends'. Needless to say I never allowed him to sleep over his house. Actually...I can think of a couple of others that were worse but I hate to repeat them

And you never know you might be better off because of it. I'm glad that you are not without your lovely daughter. she would probably dissown you if you did what that guy did though! LOL but you are smart enough to know that already.
