actually i was planning on changing my wall paper, too. not sure how - i assume it's easy but just never did it before!! I just found a pic, right clicked on it and it should give you an option to make it your wallpaper. Hope that helps.

a few yrs back when i was younger we had wind chill around 120 below. last winter it froze with windchill around 40 below 0 in december which was early as hell!! and the rest of the winter was mild. snow??? not like it used to be. when i was little we used to build real snow forts. i remember being yelled at for losing a boot in the snow. kallie went to build a snow fort and i'm wondering how in the hell does she planned to do this. she always talks about them building forts at school. she goes outside and in the 2 inches of snow on the ground literally dragged her foot and made a big square. inside was the fort!!! poor kids ;D ;D

It's just sad, isn't it? We obviously never had snows/winters like you guys do "up north" but we at least had 2 or 3 decent snows a winter. Decent enough that we could build snowmen and forts. My poor nieces and nephews are so missing out on one of the best parts of childhood.

i agree. we don't get snow like we used to. they can tell me it's global warming but i don't think so - not with wind chills of 120 below!!!!!!! we had more 0 degree days last year then we had in a loong time. all early (decemberish)
ya know - kallie can't even play king of the hill. not unless they climb on the roof!!!!!!

Well we haven't had much of flurries at all here. It's been in the 30's and windy as all heck, but the only sign of snow was Wednesday afternoon and night and a little tiny flurry yesterday morning. Nothing on the ground anywhere near us either. Closest snow was way up north but nothing in southern Wisconsin so far.
Charity, I've lived here for 23 years and the coldest windchill that I can remember was a few years ago with -60 and real temps of maybe -15. I can't even imagine what a windchill like that would be like. Where did that happen?

new years eve - one of the days between news years eve and christmas. it was either on my birthday (the 27th) or new years eve. i was damn - between 18 and 20 because i was old enough to buy cigs (blech) but i was pregnant that time at 21. we couldn't walk two buildings down to the liqor store. the weather put out the stay inside warnings - basically do not go out except in an emergency. they said windchill should be around 80 but could get as low at times of 100. next day they did say it hung around 80ish but did reach an all time low (high ) of 120 where i lived. don't know why i was stupid enough to be out but going home was not an option. i remember walking out side and it felt like my face (under the scarf) froze. not "i'm cold - i'm freezing" but my face actually felt like it changed. i'm sure it didn't but it felt it.
