I don't either. When asked, I thought about it for a minute and said, "sheets."

kallie asked me - she is soo cute with no money!!!!! i told her a bracelet from walmart - not under the glass but in the racks. most are under $5 and i showed her one that was 2.99. yesterday she asked me if she could borrow $3.00 cause she wants to buy something. i reminded her about tax and she said she has a quarter for tax ......she is too sweet.
we got our christmas wish thanks to two of the nicest people i know. charity being cheesy but special people tend to remind you bout the whole spirit of christmas.

Aw, Kallie is sweet. Julia actually has a little Christmas store in her school this week, and came home with a list of presents for everyone, including herself. She was so proud of herself, and I was proud of her, too, that she would think of herself as important enough to get a gift. Whenever I ask her who she loves, she always mentions herself, which makes me so happy!!
Anyway, I'm glad you and Kallie got your Christmas wishes fulfilled! YIPPEE!!!!!!!

Don't you get presents for more than one night?? as a kid, yes, we tended to have something to open each night (sometimes things from grandparents or whatever) but not neccessarily... and more often than not I dont get things for hanukkah

it's a $$ issue, we had NONE for so many years and a place to live and something to eat was more important so we didn't exchange gifts ever to save $$.

I remember that. We had no $$ either while growing up. I mean NO MONEY. I think little homemade things are great. One year, I wrote my mom a letter telling her how I remember all that she sacrificed while raising all four of us alone with no money, food, or car.
I'll never know how she pulled it off, but she did. FINALLY, when I was 10, she married my step dad and he bought the house that they were going to take away!!! They honestly lived (well, are living) happily ever after!

We had very little money, but my mother always made sure we were fed, and had a warm place to live. I am the youngest of 4, and Christmas was always fun, even without presents because we were together.
