Reading the music posts reminded me of something . It`s not that thrilling so I apologise in advance if I`ve got your hopes up . Also it might go over the head of of those born in the 80`s ( looking at you Flail!) When I was working at a Montessori near London, at every weekly meeting, I heard about this little shy boy called "Bertie" who was taking a long time to settle in . As a special measure to help him acclimatise , his mother was being allowed to "sit in" ( very "unMontessori " policy) . Anyway , I`d heard my colleagues wingeing about this mother all term for trying to be too invoved . I never worked in the afternoon so I never met him . So, imagine my face when I was at last introduced to this mother........KATE BUSH! She looked exactly the same , maybe even prettier . My colleagues had not a clue who she was . Now there`s being a bit hazy about pop culture....& then ther`es not recognising flippin` KATE BUSH for 3 months ! ;D Needless to say I changed my hours & got bertie transferred to my group before telling everyone who she was. She was lovely and extrememly private . She always brought him late & took him home early She was eventually outed at the Sports Day by the other parents . But she was the sweetest , most supportive parent I ever had. ( and gave damn fine end of term presents) oOOOF! Just noticed how I spelt "fame" ! Well it rhymes nicely with "claim"

Cool story Skye!!! Did you get pics with Kate?? I just thought "Faim" was going to be a play on words...maybe a child prodigy named Thomas Faim or something, ha ha ha!

No , Plat I was very cool! Years ago I wrote to her as my wee brother was her no1 Fan ( bordering on the obsessive ) . He had ME , the fatigue illness for 7 years, so I wrote to her when he was at his worst . Imagine my brother`s face when she wrote him a 5 page personal letter that began with "Hey Gorgeous!" It was full of encouragement using lines from her songs and a page of self help books ---all hand written with some lovely signed photos . He was dumbfounded . Anyway I told her how she had written to her years ago & my gift to her was not to out her to everyone else ( until the Sport`s Day) She is fiercely private . Almost reclusive . Let my brother drive past her gates a few times when he visited ...but only because she lives across a lake thing!

You're so lucky Skye! The only famous person I've ever met was Goldberg from WCW/WWF/WWE. I don't know if it count's but I met (and actually touched...shhh..) Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds!!! I still can't believe it!!! I LOVE that car!!!

She`s a beauty! zoe! I was just glad to get to meet her so I could thiank her for her letter . My brother refused to let me reply at the time. ( think he thought it like a big sister pimping for him ickky thing!) ;D Her wee boy was lovely & I got to help him too which was cool! Just realised how many typos are in my first posts! Going back to modify to prove that English is indeed my first language,

Hey Zoe i am actually the least well travelled Brit you could meet . My passport reads ..Scotland / England til 2001 then , USA, Venezuela and Australia .
I`ve live in all these places ..but haven`t visited even the rest of Europe yet!
London is exciting to visit but i loved living in my sleepy little english village . Think Midsomer Murders or Miss Marple . Do you get those dramas in the States ?
