Ok, I know this is probably an unusual question for a 'soap' board, but I wanted to post with you all, rather than heading over to the Nestle site...If Liz can post about Bertolli Frozen Pasta, then butter isn't that much of a stretch is it? ;D ;D Anyway, I was thinking of trying a recipe, using butter instead of margerine, And, I wondered if the remaining butter would freeze well...

Lori, feel free to post about anything you want here!!!
Anyway, to answer your question: Butter can be frozen very successfully for about 4 months at 20°- 30°F. Longer freezing may affect the flavor and texture.

And, Lori, things made with frozen butter actually stay fresh longer so they can easily be packaged and shipped to places like Texas, Kansas, Michigan, California, Ohio, Alabama, etc.

You guys are too funny!...I needed a good laugh! (PMS truly sucks! ). Aside from my soaps, speaking of AMC in particular, I like to cook/bake. If you ever need a seriously good 'sweet' corn bread recipe or a meatloaf recipe--just ask. I got the meatloaf via Paula Deen's section at the food network site. (With a minor modification to the recipe, it's the same meatloaf I grew up eating) The cornbread is one of Nestle's official recipes---Think Marie Calendars. PS-- Geez, how did I get that 'happy little dude' in my subject heading, instead of a question mark? ;D ;D

I've noticed that the icons don't match the sentiment in the headers, if you know what I mean. I've given up trying to figure it out. And the cornbread recipe sounds yum! I'm all for sweet!
