Okay, next to the library where I work is an old, decrepit building that is a pain in our collective asses. Broken glass, pigeons and various other animals living in it. Stoned teenagers breaking into it. Anyway, today it actually did us some good. Our local fire department is hosting a week long training sessions for our local firefighters and those from the surrounding areas. And guess which building they were using to practice some of their rescue techniques? I work with all women and let me tell you the book drop has never been checked so many times by so many employees in one day. ;D All those lovely men going up and down ladders. Moving heavy equipment. Good times. For us anyway.

I'll lend you my lighter if you want to "accidentally" start a fire to bring them over. Those books do go up fast Enjoy the view this week - I bet their hoses are really big

;D ;D ;D Actually, we were joking at work that once the women in town figured out we had a huge influx of fireman the incidents of small, I-don't-know-how-the-back-yard-caught-fire-but-now-that-you-brave-sexy-men-have-put-it-out-how-'bout-a-piece-of-pie-and-why-yes-I-do-always-cook-in-this-naughty-french-maid-uniform fires would be way up.

Amy, think of what you (and your co-workers) are doing, as a public service--You've expanded the perameters of 'neighborhood watch'. ;D ;D Lori

But, Beth... Paul Bunyon's best friend was NAMED BABE! Hey, Amy, if I lived in your area I would certainly try bbq-ing something asap. And badly. And obviously forget to check the charcoal. That's code for, um, something, but it's been so long I forget what it's code for. Oh, yeah! Check my charcoal, it's burning outta control. Okay, I don't think that's going to work with my local fire guys. I should know, I tried it about five years ago.
