Sorry, Niki. It will never be mentioned by this poster again. At least until next December 2.

Charity, I think you're in the clear. Looks like you share a birthday with Gerard Depardieu, Oscar Levant, and Marlene Dietrich. Nobody too scary.

Oh no! I can't wait for Fruitcake Season to be over. I know our UPS guy can't wait, either!. He hates lugging those 100-pound artery-clogging inedible things to our door. Poor guy. My husband's family sends EVERYONE fruitcakes. Every single year. My husband will take ONE BITE and then we throw the rest at the racoons digging through our trash. Even they won't touch the fruitcakes. They're pretty smart. I really hate fruitcake. Speaking of which, I have to go to Southern CA to visit the in-laws and ring in the New Year. I'm looking so forward to it. Just like I look forward to the annual fruitcake avalanche and ingrown toenail surgery. I'm sure it will be just as fun. Perhaps I could have a Blair-type-of-headache. I wish I could claim PMS, but my husband has finally caught onto that one. Maybe I could fake a coma. Perhaps I could just have a nervous breakdown. Maybe I could start spinning my head around and spew out pea soup. Gad, I really hate this time of year.

Thanks! i'm gonna sound a little loopy, but what exactly is fruitcake? Is it that yellow thing with jelly fruits in it? Haha, Charity national Fruitcake day, huh? It could be worse. You could share TK's birthday for example.

Niki -
A fruitcake is an abberation of food-substances. It is (to me) an inedible slab of flour, sugar, brown sugar, lard, cement and dried fruits (some are green - this is a major turn-off to me). You can actually use a fruitcake to subdue any and all major criminals. You can also use a fruitcake as a doorstop.
Best of all, you can use a fruitcake next year as a gift to someone you're not too fond of.
Regifting - it's the new trend. Although we did this thirty years ago and we just called it as it was - being cheap.
