I know I haven't been around much lately, but my friend, "The Chief" from Australia is here tonight and I'm going to let him ramble on, because I'm just too tired.
So without further ado, here's Lenehan who is a member of the Dik Dik tribe.... more about that tribe later....
How about the words of waltzing matilda - who knows that?
Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong
Under the shade of a coolibah tree
And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me
Down came a jumbuck to drink at the billabong
Up jumped the swagman and grabbed him with glee
And he sang as he stowed that jumbuck in his tucker bag
Youll come a waltzing a matilda with me
Down came the squatter mounted on his thoroughbred
Down came the troopers one two three
Where's that jolly jumbuck youve got in your tuckerbag
Youll come a waltzing matilda with me
Up jumped the swagmen and sprang into the billabong
Youll never take me alive said he
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong
Youll come a waltzing matilda with me
Is that the correct wording? - Let me know.
However I am wanting to expand on the origins of the Dik Dik tribe.
Let's hear from you. I have stories to tell.
And that, my friends, was from my friend, Lenehan.
It's no wonder I'm sort of. well, strange.
