Britney Spears' acting career has been given a boost - she's among studio favorites to land a role opposite Matthew Perry in a new sitcom. In a new NBC sitcom in development, Perry will play a businessman who finds a pretty girl and asks her to pretend to be his wife to better his career. Daily Sources bosses at NBC like the idea of troubled Spears playing the part of the fake wife. A TV source says, "There's something about her that just connects with the audience."
(Um Beth - I'm sure you have something to say about this. Isn't he on your list?)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't let that @#$% go anywhere near Matthew. Please tell me this is some sick joke. Why is it that several of the men on my list have to play opposite of skanky hos.

If the role calls for brain dead party girl to smack her gum like a cow eating grass and use double negatives then I'm sure Britney will do just fine.

;D I've never seen "Crossroads" and I'm grateful. I've also never seen Gigli but I sorta want to. It's so famously bad that I kinda want to see it.

This could be a good thing...if the set of the new sitcom comes with it's own mental health clinic. Maybe the show could set her up with a "handler" to keep her "crazy" locked in a box.

Well, I'd rather see JT's d*ck in a box but keeping Brit's crazy locked in a box might be best for everyone concerned.
