From her opening bit:
When I told you months back that an AMC golden boy would be exiting (Jeff Branson), as you now know it wasn't because the show wanted him to go but basically they starve you creatively until you must go. They bring on fresh talent, give them a lead entrance story than relegate them to the Martin attic where they serve out their sentences indefinitely. Sure it's nice having a paycheck but what if your heart and soul is acting. What if acting is what makes you feel alive and yet everyday you get to watch your costars acting and working while you just sit there. I guess it would be a bit like studying to be a pilot, getting a job as a pilot and than you just sit there watching everyone else take off in their planes all day. What was done to John James is another good example. Here you get a heavy hitter like James, bring him on for a moment in time and than poof he's sent to the Martin attic with no further explanation. At least Young is still front and center however the Branson situation smacks of James Scott all over again. I don't think there's a better example of this in the world than what they've done to the immensely talented and charismatic fan favorite Timothy Stickney (RJ/OLTL).

Carolyn's Corner (Carolyn Hinsey). Interview with Thorsten Kaye from SOW:
Carolyn: Zach finally busts Zendall for sleeping with Aiden this week. What's your take on that?
Kaye: It's important that it finally comes out, because after awhile, people don't care anymore.
Carolyn: Don't you love that Zach interrupts her when she starts to tell him and says, "I already knew"?
Kaye: Yes, that's loved. But she still gets to say it.
Carolyn: How does Zach know?
Kaye: He knows this woman, so he knew that something was going on. They weren't subtle.
Carolyn: Is Zendall apologetic? She should be very terrified!
Kaye: Yeah, but she goes into protective mode straightaway. She always feels like she's alone and she doesn't have anybody and she's a child of rape etc. Zach isn't busting her out for what she did. He's busting her for what she didn't do. She should've told him the truth. These people love each other. If you didn't tell the truth, then you're not a team. These two people love each other and that's what marriage is. "When things go sour, I should be the person you want to talk to about it. Not your mother. You should know me well enough to know that you could talk to me about anything." And if you don't trust each other, then they shouldn't be together anymore.
Carolyn: Is Zach going to confide in anyone about what happened?
Kaye: I hope it is Myrtle.
Carolyn: What does this do to Kendell and Zach's marriage?
Kaye: I know that they are trying to be human and understanding and civil and adult about it. Whether that's going to happen or not, I don't know.
Carolyn: Maybe they'll stay together for the sake of the kids. Where are they're kids?
Kaye: They're in college.
Carolyn: There is a turning point for them. You must like that.
Kaye: I like it when things aren't exactly status quo. You know my deal with storytelling: cause and consequence [Her cheating and lying] doesn't necessarily mean that things have to be over, but they definitely have to be different. That changes people. We have explosions [at AMC, and then people come out the same. We can't come out of the same from this one.
Carolyn: Have you talked to any of the AMC bosses to make sure that happens?
Kaye: No. I think they know what needs to happen here. I don't know why else you would write drama, if there's no conflict. We've been missing that a little bit.
Carolyn: But the conflict breaks up a popular couple, what will keep those fans watching?
Kaye: Because it could be the start of something. This is how it's not going to be all the time. Maybe the root value of you tuning is to see if there's a another couple that you would enjoy better. Maybe there is something that you don't see coming.
Carolyn: Like Zach and Greenlee?
Kaye: The real Greenlee?
Carolyn: Yes, the real Greenlee. You are such a troublemaker.
Kaye: No, you've got to put that in. Do not take that out. That was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever f**king heard.
Carolyn: You mean the the promos touting Rebecca's return?
Kaye: Yeah...
Carolyn: I liked Sabine at the end.
Kaye: Me, too. She turned a corner. But regardless, they asked her to do a job and she did it well. Whether someone like you or not, that's out of your hands. You're just doing what you're asked to do. And a lot of people [fans] liked her. It's a fictional character. There is no "real" Greenlee.
Carolyn: You mean the original one.
Kaye: They didn't say the original one. They said the real one. It was rude, and it was completely unnecessary. But that is water under the bridge.
Carolyn: Back to Zach and the real Greenlee.
Kaye: I don't know. Like I said, all avenues are open. She's going to be pissed that Zach didn't tell her about Aiden and Kendell, but is not his story to tell. That Aiden's story to tell. Mr. Supermodel should f**king stand up and tell the story.
Carolyn: Where does Ryan fit into in all of this?
Kaye: He doesn't remember any of it. Ryan's still looking for his car keys.
Article from ABC.Com on the return of Laurence Lau to AMC:
Laurence Lau is bringing Greg Nelson, the character he played from 1981-1986, back to All My Children. He'll return for a few episodes starting May 20.
Greg and his sweetheart, Jenny Gardner, were one of AMC's greatest love stories: He the privileged boy next door, she the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. After overcoming seemingly endless obstacles--most perpetrated by Greg's snobby mother, Enid, and evil Liza Colby (Mom to current AMC character, Colby)--the two finally married. Shortly after, a jealous rival targeted Greg for death via an exploding jet ski--but Jenny was accidentally caught in the middle and died.
During their romance, Greg formed strong bonds with Jenny's brother, Tad (Michael E. Knight). The couple were also best friends with Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Angie (Debbi Morgan). Greg returns to Pine Valley in the midst of a life altering event for Jesse and Angie--something that will change Tad, Jesse and Angie's lives forever.
Laurence is no stranger to daytime. In addition to AMC, he played Jamie on Another World from 1986-1990 and Sam Rappaport on One Life to Live from 2001-2003.
From TV Guide:
TV Guide is reporting that Jake Martin will return April 30th, but there is a twist. Jake has been working with Doctors Without Borders in Africa, but is currently being held captive in Darfur. Aidan will rescue him and bring him home to Pine Valley, where Jake does NOT wish to be. He doesn't want to see his family, but wants to return to Africa. He's coming back emotionally scarred and of course with a very big secret as well.
Dixie returns two days later in ghost form, and her mission is not only to lead Tad to Kate, but she also will play a big role in persuading Jake to stay in Pine Valley.
SOD scoops courtesy of Betty at SOC:
Kendall confesses her one-night stand to Zach, whose suspicions were all but confirmed after he'd earlier spoken to Annie. Zach's response is that he knew. Kendall takes Zach to the cabin, where she ends up weeping as she claims that she's not worthy of Zach. Zach holds out his hand & says "let's go home", & the couple begins to deal with a struggle to get past Kendall's infidelity & to maintain their marriage. Zach is more hurt by the fact that Kendall didn't trust him enough to confess earlier than by the actual infidelity.
Secrets continue because Greenlee, newly engaged to Aidan, has no idea that Aidan had sex with Kendall. Aidan is unaware that Zach now knows the truth.
No storyline is planned for Ava or Lily for May sweeps. Executive producer Julie Carruthers is uncertain if Leven Rambin will remain with AMC, but denies rumors of Opal's May demise.
Ricky Paull Goldin first airs as Dr. Jake Martin on 5/2. Ghost Dixie (Cady McClain) also first appears that day.
Dr. Gail Saltz appears as herself when Ryan Lavery goes for his first (& long overdue) meeting with a psychoanalyst. The audience will gain insight into the frustration Ryan feels over having lost his memories of the past four years.
On 4/21, Angie worries about the effects of digging up his coffin will have on Jesse...Ryan decides to move back in with Annie & Emma on 4/22, & Erica fills Carmen in on her complicated history with Zach, a man Erica appreciates & knows has been wonderful to Kendall...
Erica wants Samuel to help Carmen...Adam & Krystal find it difficult to hide their attraction...Jesse decides to dig up his coffin...
Carolyn Hinsey remembers when Ryan had the ability to love only one woman (Gillian), & editorializes that Ryan is now a "flighty jerk, willing to wreck Kendall's marriage to Zach to get what he wants" & suggests that Ryan should have taken Gillian's heart rather than giving it to Laura.
Editorial observation on the Ryan amnesia s/l not going over well with fans.
