I just emailed the following to Paula Deen's official website: www.pauladeen.com/Unfortunately, the website states they don't send out replys. Oh well, you guys might get a kick out of reading this--- Dear Paula, Due in part to your Food network show, Paula’s Home Cooking, cooking and baking are among my favorite hobbies. One of my others is watching the daytime drama called All My Children. By extension, I also use message boards, as a means of discussing both “soaps” and recipes. One evening, both of my favorite hobbies humorously intersected. While posting at one of my favorite All My Children fan message boards, Second Chances: jflval2.proboards80.com/index.cgi , as is frequently the case we went off topic. (Two prerequisites for posting at this message board is being a fan of an extremely talented actor named of Jeff Branson and having a sense of humor.) Somehow, we drifted toward the topic of SPAM luncheon meat and believe it or not, SPAM based recipes. Considering you receive letters from your viewers, frequently containing recipes,I thought you and your staff might get as big of a laugh out of the following: www.stampo.com/spamrecipe.htmlSpam a L'orange One Box Macaroni and Cheese One Can SPAM One Cup Tang Cook one box of Macaroni and Cheese (not the box... just the Macaroni and Cheese) following complicated package directions slavishly. Toss with one can julienned SPAM. Fold in one cup Tang. Enjoy! Thanks for all of the great recipes! Sincerely, Lori

Ok, now I will have to tune in to Paula Deen every weekend to see when she whips up this jewel. Do you think she will manage to add butter to the recipe? If a recipe does not call for butter, she will think of a way to add it.

Good Morning, Barbara! If she did mention SPAM L'orange-- even as a joke-- on any of her programs (Ironically, a new one premeres, later today). I would fall over... Your right, though, I should have added: "Throw a stick of butter, in with a the Mac 'N' Cheese"--That, or a cup of mayo, would have been the ticket. ;D Lori

;D ;D ;D Man, I hope like heck she mentions/reads your letter, Lori. And though I've never seen a Paula Dean show I can't help but like a woman who understands the importance of butter to almost every recipe.

In all honesty, Amy, I doubt that she'll even see it...But on the plus side, somebody has to read it... You never know. At least, I got in s good 'plug' in for Second Chances Lori
