And I can honestly say they have never given him a stupider storyline than the one he has now. As a defender of the character, I have to say they have written him as a complete tool. The 4-year memory loss thing was really dumb, and not even well-written. And not only that, it took a sideline to about three other more prominent stories so it was more like an afterthought than a real story.
And then we're supposed to believe that he got all of his memory back and didn't remember at all the love that he had for Annie, whom he lived and breathed before the memory loss, but instead decided he now loved Greenlee, whom he had all but written off before the memory loss. And what happened to his insane passion for Kendall? That just "went away?" it was like oh yeah, I don't actually love her.
And while I'm on this topic, I don't think I've ever witnessed a more blatant character assassination than what they are doing to Annie. I mean COME ON!
So they are setting up a reunion of Greenlee and Ryan. Go figure. but guess what? I actually REALLY LIKE Greens when she's with Aidan. And I REALLY LIKE Aid when he's with Greens. They finally got a god match with Greenlee (since Leo of course) and now they are going to knife it to death.

Even though I haven't been watching, I've been reading the synopses. ITA! WTH? I feel almost as bad for Cam as I did for JB with the stupid writing. AMC is the poster child for Murphy's law - if they can eff it up, they will It kinda makes me wonder if he is the leading man the spoilers were talking about ages ago that wanted out. I can't say I'd blame him.

I am watching right now Beth, mostly because nothing else is on during the summer. And it's even worse to watch than the synopsis's make it out to be. It's just fugly. I feel really bad for Cam because he is leading man material, he has tons of fans and yet he's seriously a sideline character right now IMO.
If they are "sidelining" him because he requested to spend more time with his family that's one thing. But I don't think that's it since he's still on nearly every day, but he's on with a stupid story which isn't given nearly the thought as other stories.

You're braver than I am. All the characters I like are either being ruined from the sounds of it or have left. The writing just blows, and I've heard that the cast is kinda phoning it in b/c it sucks so bad. I'm not sure if this is true since I haven't seen it. Honestly, I just couldn't stand to watch after what they did to Jeff.

All I can really add to this is, I wish I'd been watching years ago when Cameron began working on AMC. Evidentially, "Ryan" was really a ton of fun... (Fortunately, there are YouTube clips. That's how I became a Rendall fan to begin with) The one thing I will say about the Amnesia storyline is...and I've said it before, the writers didn't know who they wanted Ryan to be in love with. Basically, one sits and watches their favorite character play musical chairs in terms of relationships. I think, I read in a older SOD interview, that Ryan's ' romantic outcome' would be determined by fan response. Well, duh! Apparently, the more vocal of the zens put that in a lock---They don't want Ryan anywhere near Kendall...So, who's left? Rylee. Chris, evidentially you're a Ryannie fan--and I don't know if you read soap articles. But, Annie could end up in Oak Haven, considering she's rather going off the deep end. After killing Ritchie...We'll just have to wait and see. Sorry about that... Lori

I like Annie. If they wanted to get rid of the character I think what they should have done was have Jonathan being her support through this whole bogus amnesia s/l, and whoops....the two fall in love. What's soapier than screwing your brother's wife? And the two of them could have run off to Europe together. Just my thought on it, anyway.

MCE had a couple of scenes w/ Jeff, when Annie & Ema stayed at Wild Wind. I don't know for sure, but I think those scenes were a chemestry test, for the actors---All I basically remember, about the scenes was Jon joking/sort of flurting w/Annie. It was one of those rare eppys in whicn Jon actually lightened up. And yeah, if Jon fell for Annie, he and Ryan would have gotten into it. But the brothers would have reconciled, in the long run. Annie and Jon would have set up house keeping in Europe--and Emma would have racked up lots of frequent flyer miles. This is assuming joint custody would have been involved (Lucy Merriam could have appeared once or twice a year, if "Emma" wasn't recast entirely) If Jeff had to exit, then that senario would have made a lot of fans happy -imho. I sort of recall an interview JB did with SOD that basically said that Jonathan needed a good ass-kicking from his brother. ;D I thought that would have set the stage for it perfectly. Plus, it would have given him an exit.

I'm not really a Ryannie fan, I jusy am not a Rylee fan at all. It's the only time I never really cared for ryan's character - when he was with her. Of course my wish is that Ryan and Kendall get back together. Or that they create an awesome divalicious and totally Ryan worthy character for him and give him a juicy story to go with it.
But I never get what I want.
