I’m stumped. If Josh is being written off the show, then why not send him away on Cambias business? According to today’s scenes he still has ‘family issues’ and sees himself as a ‘mistake’—One would think, if Josh had identity problems, there would have been numerous opportunities to bring this up in the past. Up to now, Josh has been a Wall Street trader, a doctor, a television producer and a trusted Cambias employee. All of these things would make him far from a failure. With these jobs alone, theoretically, Josh could have been able to 'strike out on his own'. IMHO, the writers have just succeeded in sucking the Kane right out of him! Lori

Hi, Beth and Amy! Yeah, the scenes where 'Zachy Corleone' confronts Josh were just, somehow--- odd. Even if you no longer watch the show, regularly, if you have SOAPnet it would be worth a look. Josh was so not Josh! And I know that writers can dictate what the characters do/how they behave, etc. But, as they say, over at SOC, I had a "WTF moment", as I watched. I hate to say it, but Josh went wimpy! While I realize the new team of writers have to still work within certain parameters for each character. Did they have to give him "mommy/family issues"?!. I could even see gave him a gave him a gambling problem, sort of like Erica's alcoholism. -- Actually, that would be ironic, considering Zach has casinos-- Or some kind of sexual addiction, where he ran up a really big hooker tab. Even much of that could be inferred. We know Josh wasn't exactly a choir boy, especially in the beginning. Instead, What do we get? We see Josh being dragged out of Zach's office, by Zach's "men", as we hear Josh say: "Please Kendall, don't let 'em kill me!" Josh has never been short on self esteem. I liked the somewhat arrogant, cocky Josh we saw initially, then he mellowed out--and that was still fine. But this incarnation is just sad.I hadn't realized it, until now--From what you are saying tptb made "Josh" a re-occuring character, so that there would be some slack in order to write CE am exit storyline...Hmmm. I see, where you're coming from--Even with that, if they gave Josh an expensive addiction, instead of having him hide because he embezzled, they still could have sent him away for treatment. Possibly he could have returned as a recast. Lori

I just don't think the writers have any interest in writing for any of the characters except Zach, Kendall and Greenlee and sometimes Ryan - and they don't even get that right. Jackasses, all of them

Believe it or not I'll probably be watching the 9/9/06 episode again...Call me a glutton for punishment. But, I want to see the scenes where Josh explains his actions to Erica. The whole thing started out so bass ackwards. Kendall pepper sprayed the minions going after Josh, allowing him to flee to Erica... At first it seemed as if Josh was telling Erica a different version--I sat thinking, this show has finally given me brain lock! ;D ;D WTH is Josh telling her now! But, then he stuck basically to the same story...He just added that he was teasing/joking, weeks earlier, with Zach about Kendall maintaining focus on things aside from Ryan, Greens, etal. As result of the conversation, Zach got furious... Long story short, Kendall got/is getting Ryan to help Josh 'disappear', possibly w/ Tad's or Aiden's help... I can't help laughing as I finish this post. It's a matter of pi** poor writing of an exit. You guys don't know me irl, but you can figure the whole thing is a trip, if I have the urge to cuss on a message board... On the plus side, however, Zendall is at odds...and Ryan was Kendall's go to / fix it guy Both work for me... Personally, I had more fun watching InsAnnie and dead Ritchie plot Greenlee's demise. These days, Ritchie is even more 'out there', than he used to be. Lori

Josh's exit was one of the worst i've seen. He was totally written out of character, and completely made him and the Kanes out as this dysfunctional family and that he's hated them all and this was his way at getting back at them.

Welcome to the dark side, Lori. This show's had me cussing for quite awhile now "InsAnnie" ;D ;D ;D Wait, I thought Ritchie was dead. They're still showing him? Good (early) Morning, Beth! Technically, 'dead Ritchie' still is...dead, that is. ;D Pratt has shifted the focus a bit...Nobody in PV cares/is looking for Ritchie's killer anymore. But the teens have been cleared, as suspects. Currently, 'dead Ritchie' is acting as Insannie's inner voice ( all pasty faced with scrapes included ), advising her on how to 'do in' Greens. --MCE is staying on. Annie is really crackers lately. I'm liking this version of Annie, alot more. As far as "InsAnnie" goes, I can't take credit for that. "InsAnnie" and "Cryan" are very much discussed, at the Pine Valley Podcast blog--Actually, the hosts' perspectives are quite balanced as opposed to SOC. They don't pull any punches, but they aren't part of "Zen Nation", either. www.pinevalleypodcast.com/ Lori

Zach as the 'Sonny" of Pine Valley falls flat because TK lacks the acting range of Maurice B.
As for the the storyline, it would have been OK with me if Josh stole the money because he knew it was dirty, gave it to charity and then DARED Zach to hurt or kill him. I would have loved to have seen him say, "Go ahead, do it and all of the evidence goes directly to the cops and to KENDALL. What? Have a problem with that? Guess what, it ain't over, you're going to go clean for my sister and for my nephews or your going to jail. I'll be doing the world a favor."
Of course, there isn't enough grease cutter in the world to get a scumbag like Zach clean.

Now THAT would've been a great s/l. I would've liked to see someone give ole Zachole a good "FU".

Soaper, Oh I would have loved that! Zach would have gotten some of his come-up-ance (I think, that's the term ---and best of all Josh's 'inner Kane'-- his dignity, sense of inner style, his chutzpa, or however we'd describe the character's inner core would remain) Now, that would have made me a happy camper!
