I read the spoilers and can I just say I'm hugely disappointed in the whole mess? I really like Amanda Baker as an actress and I think she has made Babe a respectable character. I'm loving JR and Babe together. To kill her off (not just write her off, but KILL her) is ridiculous.
And even further than that, I honestly don't think I can watch a mother die while protecting her young son. No way. Too close to home. I do want to watch the tornado scenes. It sounds intriguing. But I'm not sure I have the stomach to watch a young boy see his mother killed. And the guilt of her being killed to save him! Who can live with that? My heart is breaking just thinking of it.

I hate that they're getting rid of Amanda Baker. I really liked her. I thought I read somewhere that Babe and JR get married in the hospital and then she dies. It's not great, but I guess if that's true it's better than her dying in front of her son.

He still sees her hurt, he still morns her loss. I know it's a soap and people die, but I'm not happy with this one at all. In fact, after I read the spoilers I was actually physically ill to my stomach. I'm not sure that's the reaction they should be going for. JR's mom was killed (several times) and we had to see stories of JR missing his mom and struggling with just his dad as a role model - who is anything but maternal in any way. So now we have to see it with Little Adam too? Been done AMC, and it wasn't cool then.

No, it definitely wasn't. AMC recycles so many plots, I can't even remember the last original one.

You mean AMC is still killing Babe off??? For a day or two, I thought, the trio (JR, Babe & Lil' A) were simply 'relocating', after all of the goings on about San Diego--I didn't want to see Jacob Young leave. But, I was ok with the Happy Exit ...Oh. well... Thanks, Pratt.

Next week is going to be very sad for me, in my AMC viewing experience. It's not secret on this board that I love Babe. I like Amanda Baker just fine, but it was Alexa Havins who completely OWNED this roll. She is one of my favorite soap actresses ever, and it's sad to see the character she created killed off, even if she's not on the show anymore. And i really hate that Alexa is not here for it, particulalry when Babe and Bianca say goodbye for the last time.

Well, there's still hope down the road, Andrew. No one is every truly dead in soap land.

I thought Alexa was just okay. I adore Amanda Baker. I'm sad to see her go.

Nothing against Amanda Baker, but she just isn't Babe to me. It'll still be sad to see Babe die, but if Alexa was still there I'd be crying buckets.

Andrew, I am sorry that one of your faves is being killed off. I too agree that Alexa did own the role of Babe. It is going to be tough to watch anyway, but I would have to agree with you and Brandon, that it would have been even sadder to watch Alexa in the dying scenes.
