was deplorable-- But, as I sat watching the various "Shayne"scenes, today, I couldn't help but grin! Picking fights, under any circumstances, isn't a good idea. But, in a chair--That's what I'd call a one way ticket to disaster! Clearly, Shayne wants to be 'toast'. And here's an irony, over at AMC , pretty much everybody hates it when new/returning characters lurk. Well, in this case as long as it doesn't last too long , I honestly don't mind. I can see the reason for it, he wants to check things out, getting the feel for the situation, before showing up. I guess, I'm just pleased, one of my favorite actors is getting a really good introduction on Guiding Light, as opposed to his nonexistent exit on AMC. As a newbie to GL, I liked the voice over which served as a means of providing a bit of character background, for those of us who aren't really familiar with the show. Lori

I liked the introduction to today's show, too. I also noticed the lurking theme, but as you said, it only lasted a day - thankfully. GL is moving much more quickly than I could have imagined which is a refreshing change from AMC.

Yeah, if this were AMC we'd have to put up with the lurking til at least May sweeps. ;D Thank god it was only for one day. I liked the voice-over bit, too. And was I the only one that LMAO when Shane kept hitting Mallet with his wheelchair? ;D

lol! no you weren't, that bit was in the preview for monday so i kept watching it all weekend because it cracked me up so hard. so naturally i found it hilarious today as well. ;D
I don't mind the lurking at all, i know its just for one day. Sure it would have been more exciting to see Shayne interact with people, but we get to see that tomorrow so its okay. I loved the voiceover part too, it showed us a little of what is going on in Shayne's head. I can't wait for tomorrow, it should be interesting!!

No Brandon, you weren't the only one. At first, I wasn't sure if "Shayne" was attempting to hit "Mallet" in the leg with his chair, or not. Briefly I had my back to the tv, doing something ...But yep, I turned around and there he was! That was a moment I should have taped, to replay later. ;D For whatever reason, it did strike me as quite funny.

"Doc Maartens..."
That's what I thought he was wearing, Beth. But, I wasn't totally sure. Thanks.

Man, Jeff is doing a wonderful job and he's been on everyday this week! I loved, loved Reva/Shayne reunion. I really like the Reva and Josh characters. Of course, I don't know their history but I really like the actors and so far I'm liking their characters.

ITA, Amy. Jeff is kicking ass as usual, but I'm really liking the dynamics with him and his onscreen parents
