I did something I thought I'd never do...I broke down and wrote a fan letters, to the actual actors, not tptb. ;D If my friends, irl, new about this, I'd either get some funny looks or some serious teasing (albeit good naturedly).
Skye and I have posted about this at DOTE...Inspite of feeling a little "stalker-ish". ;D The following were stuffed in Christmas cards and mailed early, this morning, under cover of darkness :

Dear Mr. Branson:
I simply wanted to take a moment to say, congratulations regarding your new role of “Shayne Lewis” on Guiding Light. As a fan of All My Children and now Guiding Light , I appreciate the attention to detail that you put in to each of the characters you have portrayed, in daytime drama. Specifically, speaking as a person with an orthopedic disability, who has had a lifetime experience using wheelchairs and variety of mobility aids, somehow in spite of inherent time limitations associated with soaps, you have managed to correctly handle the equipment most commonly used by persons with disabilities. Something as simple as using a cane on the appropriate side, in relation to a supposed injury, is impressive, especially if it is something not normally seen in a fictional portrayal. Back during your tenure on All My Children, you did so. At one point, I sat watching one of your scenes, grinning from ear to ear, thinking, “He nailed it!”—and you continue to do so. Thank you.
Whatever the nature of “Shayne’s” future physical state (Heck, he just might end up as Springfield’s ‘Christmas miracle’ a year from now—LOL!) fans of the show will continue to enjoy outstanding performances such as yours, Ms. Gina Tongnoni, and the rest of your fellow cast mates.
Sincerely,
Lori
And then... Cameron. Regretably, it was getting late, and I was running out of ' creative steam'.

Dear Mr. Mathison,
Thank you, for all of your hard work and dedication on All My Children , this year. I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing you and Ms. Minshew work together, again, in a major storyline during 2009.
Sincerely,
Lori
