that just might get me in trouble. ( I thought it might be safer posting this, here, rather than at SOC ) While I definately do post at the AMC forum over at SOC, lately I find myself posting more in the GL section. I've come to a conclusion. "Dinah & Mallet" fans are far less, how can I say this?---uh... rabid, than, say, some Zendalls. Me, I'm a GL rookie, with a pro "Shayne & Dinah" bias--Both actors work at a certain level, each keeping up with the other, rather like watching a good tennis match. For this soap fan, it's a good thing...What surprises me is, nobody's 'come out swingin' (at me) yet... I guess, I got a little too used to the Zen/Ren 'debates'--all of the GL 'calm' takes a little getting used to... Lori

I'm glad to hear that GL fans are a little more respectable than Zendall fans. Although the bar was set pretty low so any ounce of dignity in the posts would come off as classy. ;D
On a similar note, I recorded one episodeof GL and watched it last night. Wow. That is one bad soap! I can see why everyone is so accepting of Jeff, he totally makes that show! He is far and away better than anyone else I saw on the show. Thank goodness they have him! LOL

True, none of the "Mallet" fans want to send "Dinah" off to a nunery, if she sticks with "Shayne" --- Yet. ;D ;D Is the show a little slow (except for Jeff and Gina Tognoni) or is it just me? And you do make a very good point, while GL does seem to take the more conventional soap rout, if it wasn't for JB starting on the show, I don't think either of us would have switched, from what you've said. For our sakes, Let's hope Shayne, either. continues to regularly kiss Dinah, or he decides to hit her ex-husband, Mallet, in the shins with his wheelchair--again. ;D ;D ;D Lori

"Lost" huh?--Very generally I know what the show's premise is, even though I've never seen it...Drop Jeff in, by parachute, and I'd give the show a try! ;D On a slightly more serious note, a few months ago I recall watching JB's appearance on Without A Trace. It was interesting to me, how once actors try primetime, they go from being a big fish in a small pond to something akin to a guppy in the ocean...In this case, an Emmy nominated actor had two lines. I guess, in primetime, it's like starting all over again, for actors. Lori

I've gotten more used to GL lately. The sets and the abundance of outside scenes are not, well...as good. And the acting is unbalanced. BUT I will say their dialogue seems more natural and seems to flow more than AMC's. Plus, I'm so tired of spermgate 1,2,3,4,etc that different s/ls are a nice change of pace.
And you're right, Lori - the people on the GL site are overall MUCH more respectful. It just proves that Zendallites are nuts (which is probably somehow Ryan's fault, too ;D)
