After the discussion in the Cady McClain thread, I did a Bing search to see if Jeff was up to anything new, professionally speaking. I found a link to a remake of a film through IMdb.com: I Spit On Your Grave.
I Spit On Your Grave Remake News!

That’s right, your favourite female revenge movie is getting the Hollywood treatment. Of course it’s being remade, the film has achieved a certain notoriety as a result of it’s shocking nature, it would be foolish to not to resurrect it and rape it (sorry) for financial gain. We all understand that Hollywood is going to remake every film that may pull an audience until there are none left, and I think it’s time to accept it and roll with the banal punches. So, ‘I Spit On Your Grave’ is the next one on the chopping block. For those not familiar with the plot, a woman is abducted, raped, brutalized and left for dead. She isn’t dead, though, and she spends the rest of the film exacting twisted revenge on her abusers. Anchor Bay’s remake is being shot in Shreveport, La, with Steven Monroe directing »

I just saw the movie poster on a horror web site. It looks like it's going to be released in the fall on 2010. Whether on the big screen, straight to video, or only in indie theatres it didn't say. Just wanted to pass on the little I found out...

I have never heard of this movie. Is it a cult classic or something?

Hey Beth from what I understand from other horror websites, it's set for a theatrical release in the fall and a DVD release early next year. It is a bit of a cult classic Chris; it's along the lines of Wes Craven's Last House on the Left, if you've heard of it. It's kind of dark. Last House on the Left was remade a couple of years ago, too. I'm pretty sure Jeff plays one of the low life guys who rapes the main character, only because he seems to have a somewhat significant role and there aren't too many male characters who aren't baddies in the original.

Yay - I was hoping for a theatre release! Although I love him playing a bad guy, I'm not sure if I'm ready for this kinda bad...Well, maybe there'll be one good guy. Maybe? I can hope...

Right? I was so excited to hear about him doing a horror film but then I stopped to think about what kind of horror movie it was lol. At when Jonathan was beating up on Maggie it was "explained" with that brain tumor but this? And the plot is this girl survives being attacked by a group of obviously skeevy men and seeks revenge on them. So if Jeff is a bad guy, he's also likely to get a very gory retribution. It would be nice if he's a good guy though!

There's a teaser available for the film now. Looks like Jeff is one the bad dudes; that's definitely his voice in the trailer and if you have no life like me and pause it right at the end the tied-up dude with the bloodied face looks a lot like Jeff. Interesting um...fate that character meets! www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8lzeTi2Vic

I like that he is playing something different like that. His resume will be full of different types of characters he can play. He;s so talented!

You rock, Niki! This definitely looks dark. And I'd say it's safe to say he's one of the bad guys - ouch! ;D There was no mistaking The Voice.
