The best news I've heard all day!!! I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand Fox is higher profile, however network television is not far behind the soaps in being a dying breed. Cable and internet have taken a lot of viewers to other sources. And Fox dicked around so long, it didn't give me a lot of confidence they'd stand behind Coco if things went a little bad. I know some are saying Conan's a hypocrite for accepting a time slot that would push George Lopez back an hour, but word on the street is the reason this happened so fast is that Conan originally turned down the deal. It wasn't until Lopez gave his personal blessing that ol' Coco actually considered it. (And I give George major points for this) Plus side is TBS is giving him the same budget that NBC did (which Fox was not prepared to do) and he will be able to push the envelope more given that it's cable. Also, it has been confirmed that he will own all his material on this show (yay!!!). NBC are bastards for stealing his intellectual property for 20 yrs worth of work I also like that it's starting at 11pm, not exactly competing with the assmuch and Dave, but still sorta competing. Long story short, whatever puts Conan back on my tv even 4 nights a week is alright by me What do you all think? I'M WITH COCO FTW

I like the move too. I think it's sort of a win for Lopez because he stands to gain new viewers by being right behind Conan. And I think because it's cable, Conan won't have to "edit" as much. Cable means a bigger vocabulary, ha ha!
I don't watch Leno at all. I do still love Dave though.

Oh, I definitely think George Lopez will ultimately benefit from the move. And I think he realizes this. I give him the credit for making a compromise that will benefit everyone. Honestly, I had never watched his show before the night of the announcement. It was funny. And come November I probably won't turn the channel once Conan's over for the night - and there's a lot of Conan fans saying the same thing. I still turn on Dave sometimes and got a kick out of him saying that if a celebrity goes on Jay Leno first, he would refuse to book them on his show. You go Dave! ;D And points to Slash for appearing on Jay's show wearing an "I'm With Coco" button. I LMAO at the headlines the next day.

I didn't hear that about Slash - how funny! I have watched George Lopez's show before and I think he can be very funny. Sometimes he tries too hard, but I have found him to be getting better and better over time. I think there's an adjustment period when going from stand up to talk show and he's finding his footing just fine.

There is always an adjustment period. I've watched Conan since college and the beginning was a little rough, but I loved his geeky awkwardness. And George will find it his stride, too I'm sure. One thing's for sure, both men know how to write their own material which puts them in a league above, IMO.
