I wanted to see the Laveries bond over family counseling. I would have liked for AMC to hire young actors to portray Jonathan and Erin in flashback memories of thier childhood...how Jonathan would try to protect Erin and vice versa...how they would dream about Ryan coming for them and how Erin gave up on Ryan long before Johnathan did...how they would fantasize about getting away...

Well knowing McT, that actually doesn't surprise me if they knew they were going to kill him off anyway. They always take throw-away villains to the extreme before axing them. (Michael Cambias, anyone? Janet?)
Yeah if they had left that in and THEN decided to bring him back....never would have worked.

Well considering I know wish Jonathan had stayed dead.....I almost wish they had left well alone. I know that would have been powerful stuff for Rebecca to work with.
Then again, I don't want to see another rape.

No doubt Jeff and Rebecca would have been phenomenal in that SL, but i'm am SOOO glad they didn't show it, and it's awesome that Jeff had them take it out. personally, i think they didn't decide to keep him until AFTER the cave stuff, because that is when everyone flooded the studio, when they realized he was gone. I never understood the LONG hiatus Jeff was on (besides the fantasy sequences once a month). I guess that was just because he was filming a movie. I'm glad they kept him, and they better bring his edge back, or Jeff needs to move on quickly.

Well I just thought that it would have been a better way to end Rylee (with Greenlee unable to get past being raped by his brother) than the Spermgate crap. Not better as in good but better as in better drama that makes more sense. I never bought Greenlee's sudden obsession with children. But to have another rape storyline so soon after Bianca's would have been equally bad I think. That's a storyline you can't repeat every few years, you need to space it out for a long time.

I guess TPTB could have had Jonathan beat the crap out of Greenlee instead of raping her...but my hatred for Greenlee was pretty high at the time and even though i know that it's wrong, I would have had a fairly sick satisfaction out of watching Jonathan smack Greenlee.
I'm glad that Jonathan only tried to poison her and blow her up...to bad he didn't succeed....Spermgate *shudder*.

Well, now that they have been able to hold on to their coveted actor, why not do something with him? The Lilly/Jon thing isn't working and he is otherwise propping everyone else's story's. He needs something of his own.
I think the healing process would be a great start. Even Erin has some things to work through, so together they could fight those demons. It would make more sense and be better drama than underage love.
