A character that's been on the show for what, 30 years? should get a better send off IMO...like one on screen. But then again he could have gotten the Julia Barr treatment so I guess he should count himself lucky. They made a mini-story out of this, they didn't just forget about him.

Apparently Stuart will be on a bit longer as a ghost torturing Tracy for messing with his will. She's the only one who can see or hear him- that should be comical

if the writers were smart......

Elana - You're right. If the writers were smart... Alan would have never died. Felicia would be, even badly, trying to deal with her "girls". Carly would actually have dialogue for ONE EPISODE that didn't want to make me slap her. Mac would start to wonder how many blow-up dolls he can buy in a year without being thought of as a pervert. Luke would quit patting the GIANT HEAD and Scotty would actually be put to some use other than bringing daisies to THE GIANT HEAD and arguing with her daughter. Anna and Robert would be there for Robin. Noah would be there for Patrick. How many options can we give the writers? If they were smart, they would've never made Monica talk Jason into leaving Alan's room in the first place. What The Hell plot point is that suppose to proove? Oh, yeah, Jason now feels guilty. Okay. If the writers were smart, we'd be watching a show without headaches and WTF moments. If the writers were smart, they'd go on strike and let the actors ad-lib for several episodes. No. Actually, that would probably prove they're (the writers) are not really necessary to the show.

I may be in the minority but...I kind of like that Jason didn't get to say goodbye. It means for the first time in a while, Jason has a storyline that ISN'T about how perfect he is. He wasn't a good son to Alan and now he sees the consequences of it. Finally.

fine - if the trade jason for frisco. the other parent that isn't there for the girls.
minkie - i know and understand your feelings for jason. and i'm not really trying to prop him at all but jason is damn aware of how he treated his family. but they kept trying. he seems to wait until it is too late. caught lila at the end. but when his new (second) brain injury happened he wanted to explore learning about them. how can a hit man think that he has time. it'll happen in time. so time ran out.
i did wish their was closure. alan wanted closure with jason. alan asked for jason. maybe this will be a little wake-up call for him and realize he doesn't have to be a quartermane to get to know his family. monica would be so happy.
